  1. Review titled Non Understanding of Vulnerable Status

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 November 2023

I received an email confirming that as a vulnerable individual I am entitled to an anti Covid injection. I booked an appointment but had to rearrange. On contacting the surgery I was told I was not over 65 and was not entitled to an injection. This is despite informing the receptionist about my condition and the NHS message. Two hours later I telephoned, spoke to a different receptionist, and was given an appointment date. Work that one out! A training issue at least. I have written twice to the Practice Manager asking for an explanation. No reply. Additionally trying to obtain an appointment depends on how quick you are at phoning at 8 a.m. A couple of minutes past that time and all appointments have gone for the day. Any attempt at explaing your condition and the need for an urgent consultation falls on deaf ears "try Urgent Care or 111".

  2. Review titled Fabulous Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Superb Advanced Nurse practitioner, with a nothing is too much trouble attitude and he will always listen to your problem without interrupting. The whole family have called on his expertise and he has never let us down, referring us to the right departments and GP's should we need to see one. He is also a lovely kind person with a sense of humour. I find the practice to be excellent and if you have a real problem the Practice Manager is also excellent and very helpful, she is approachable and easy to talk to and has helped me when I was unable to get to the right person. The GP's are really nice and they listen also to your problems. I think the practice does its best and has coped and worked hard to keep things going through covid, they always do there best. I always recommend this GP to new people moving to the area as its the best one for miles.

  3. Review titled Unhelpful and understaffed

Rated 1 star out of 5

Turned up 5 mins late for an appointment. Totally my fault. Went to hospital instead of surgery. Tried phoning whilst leaving hospital, on hold for 20 mins before I arrived. Explained the situation and was told that the administrator who was administering the flu jab refused to do it as we were late. She was still in the surgery and we were there. We were told she had gone into a meeting. I explained I could wait and was told that wouldn’t be acceptable either. Then Tried to rebook only to be told there are no more doses left so can’t rebook me. Shoulder shrugging receptionist unapologetic. You were late was repeated at me. I see by all the below reviews that this place does not get good reviews from anyone. Surely somethings or someone needs to change.!

  4. Review titled Great doctors but terrible receptionists

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was 4 min late for an important blood test due to having to find a parking space, and having 2 children under 2 to get out the car. I was rudely told too late now. After explaining my reasons I was just stared at and shoulders shrugged. When I returned to ask for a form for my blood the two ladies were discussing me and talking about me. This is terrible practice and grated everyone is busy but no sympathy and not any patients at all waiting.
