    Waited over a week for a phone call from a doctor, then an appointment was made on the day he called. The practice is not very welcoming at all. All hatches closed no face to face contact. Tried to log in on the self service screen, but that didn’t work. Waited for someone to open the hatch who then tried to direct me to the non working self service screen. They then told me I should be at Somerby not Market Overton..then on my way to my car they called me back in, it was here. The doctor was very dismissive and couldn’t get me out of his office quick enough. I tried to mention something else and he told me not to interrupt him. Not a great experience, I was going to ask the receptionists something on the way out as I knew the doctor would give me short shrift but there was no one to be seen, all hatches down. I haven’t written this anonomously anyone from the practice wants to speak to me about it feel free.

    Whenever I need to see a GP, I am told to go to hospital as there are no appointments available. This would be an abuse of the A&E service. I do not understand why a small practice cannot offer appointments. When I see one of the practice nurses, she is amazing. There is no help, support or medical input for me and I have several medical conditions that would benefit from clinical support from a GP. Despite many requests I have not seen a GP at the surgery for nearly four years. Repeat prescriptions have to be requested every four weeks whereas other practices I have belonged to allow two months at a time. I know this is to raise income for a dispensing practice rather than improving patient care.

    I’m a new patient and needed to speak to a doctor. From telephoning for an appointment to collecting my prescription everything went smoothly. Very efficient and helpful staff. You’re doing a great job!

    This practice is either superb or exceptionally poor… I have experienced both and absolutely nothing in between. No consistency and no reliability. On this occasion I tried to log in to order my usual prescription to find the platform had completely and unrecognisably altered. Completely unable to navigate it. I will have to go back to paper prescriptions…from merrily ordering online. Congratulations. Progress???

    When you finally get to speak to a doctor, the practice is outstanding...I had a telephone appointment last year and the GP couldn't have been nicer. A few weeks ago I phoned the surgery at 8.30 and was told I couldn't see a doctor. I had booked an online appointment but it was four weeks away and there was nothing sooner! I said I would ring again the following day but was told there would be no emergency appointments available and that I needed to wait until my online appointment. I explained I knew what the problem was and that I needed a blood test. Finally I was given an appointment that evening at the Rutland Memorial to see 'a doctor'. Brilliant I thought. Even though I felt dreadful I drove there in the evening only to be told it was an appointment with 'clinician'. The gentleman was lovely but said he despaired because while I clearly needed a blood test, there was nothing he cold do to recommend it nor could he order a blood test and didn't know why i had been sent to see him. I would need to wait for my online appointment! I am so fed up and cross about the whole situation. We changed practices because we couldn't see a doctor at our old surgery and now have exactly the same situation here compounded by being 'fobbed off' . I paid for a private GP consultation and they also told me there was nothing they could do...that I needed a blood test and should see my own GP. If there is any logic in this situation I can't see it. Goodness only knows what would happen if I was seriously ill. When I go to the surgery to collect my prescriptions there is never anyone there...patients or doctors, other than the receptionist...they never look busy at all! Also if you want to cancel an online appointment there doesn't seem to be any way to do so. What is going on? It feels like being in a bad dream.

    I had an appointment with a GP this morning, he was on time and very polite. He explained the situation really well and gave me time for questions. I picked up the prescription from the practice on the same day which only took a few minutes to do. The ladies on reception were lovely and helpful. It is a very good practice and will definitely recommend to others.

    Unfortunately on 3 occasions I’ve been told there’s no appointments available and to go to hospital (symptoms were not an emergency) The doctor and nurse, once you can get an appointment, are brilliant. The main booking system though is not great. It’s impossible to get an appointment as it appears that the practice is too busy.
