  1. Review titled Poor services

Rated 1 star out of 5

The surgery is very disorganised. They appoint physician associates to deal with issues that only actual doctors can handle. They do not read essential incoming letters for patients from specialists monitoring long-term conditions. Despite having a long-term autoimmune disease every time I need something from the GP I am treated as an average healthy adult and the doctors do not read or do not have in my file details of my rare condition and my health history. Recently one of my essential every day medications was discontinued for unknown reasons by the GP practice despite having just seen my rheumatologist who sent to the surgery 2 weeks ago a letter explaining that he reviewed me and my medication needs to continue. Very poor service! Unsuitable for someone with long-term health problems.

Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the roles of Physician Associates (PAs) in our practice. We understand your concerns and want to assure you that PAs play a vital role in providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to our patients. PAs are highly trained healthcare professionals: • They graduate with a Master's degree and undergo rigorous training, preparing them to diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions. • They work collaboratively with doctors, contributing to patient care planning, examinations, and treatment recommendations. • They are continually updating their knowledge and skills through ongoing education and professional development. We carefully assess each patient's individual needs and concerns before assigning them to a PA or doctor. PAs only manage cases they are competently trained and experienced in handling. In complex cases or those requiring additional expertise, they collaborate closely with doctors to ensure optimal care. Each clinician has a time limit on every appointment and therefore may not always be able to review your full medical record prior to you attending the appointment. For this reason, the clinician may ask you for a summary of why you have presented for the appointment. With regards to the discontinuation of medication, I would like to assure you that no medication will be stopped without thorough consideration and clear communication with yourself. Please contact the Practice to arrange an appointment with one of our pharmacists who will be able to investigate further. I would require further information to investigate your case thoroughly and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your comments and therefore request that you contact the Practice and speak to me. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Thank you Zainab Patel Practice Manager

  2. Review titled Outstanding practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by C.Barker - Posted on 02 March 2023

This practice is getting so many things right. I have found the online system easy to use and getting appointments is a pain free process. Reception has always been friendly and really helpful. There is excellent continuation of care for on going health problems and a real feeling of medical professionals listening, responding and more importantly genuinely caring.

  3. Review titled A practice in decline

Rated 1 star out of 5

Recent experience with this practice has been disappointing. The GPs seem to change very frequently and there is no continuity of care. Test results are not communicated promptly if at at all and as a patient I have had to chase these myself. Waiting times for appointments, blood tests etc are far too long and that is when you actually get through on the phone. This used to be a caring practice but not now. When you get to see a GP, they are usually good, but it is a battle to get to see one, even if you have worrying conditions that can’t be diagnosed by an on line form or phone appointment.

  4. Review titled Decent doctors, not reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

Took a little while to get a good doctor but after a few I had a great relationship with one who listened to all my problems. However the there Is at least one reception staff who will talk to you in such a rude manner (I have witnessed her talk to international students with such a rude demeaning manner that I was shocked). Just visited myself and it was as if I was the dumbest person she has ever interacted with. So rude. Should not be in a public facing job at all, very heightened opinion of her self.
