The Markfield Medical Centre provides very good health care, whether Doctors or Nurse Practitioners, either face to face or by Telephone. The Appointment process is now much improved with the new telephone system providing queue waiting information

All the staff have been great in my experience - receptionists are friendly on arrival, and always helpful over the phone. The nurses and healthcare assistants put you at ease, I’ve had many blood tests and a smear and never felt uncomfortable. It is slightly difficult to see a Dr in person but I had a telephone appointment several months back where the Dr decided they needed to examine me in person and I was able to head straight down to the medical centre. I’ve had several urgent referrals which have gone through quickly, and I felt happy that my concerns were listened to. You also have the option to book appointments online in advance, although they are often several weeks in the future so really only useful for chronic issues that can wait, but still handy to have as an option!

I have had cause to call this gp in a panic over my little boy and the receptionist have always been kind and I have had same day appointments even when calling in the afternoon. Although you may need to wait for some one to answer the phone, it’s no where near as long as wait as previous gp practices where you could be 20th in the queue. The gps, practise nurse and advanced practitioner has been kind, listened to me and offered good reassuring care. I’m very happy with how this gp practice is caring for me and my family.

I'm always able to get an appointment on the same day, the receptionists are really helpful and caring. Amazing compared to my old practice.
