Always have to wait sometimes weeks for an appointment. Takes so long to answer phone have to go round in person to try and get appointment

I called after 11am (just after) as I was advised by the nice man on the recorded message not to call at 8am unless it was a medical emergency. I was calling for my baby who is unwell with a bad chest but I don’t consider it to be an emergency. I was told there aren’t any appointments and to call back again tomorrow at 8am!! Where I would be hoping for a telephone appointment!! I’m writing this review after having this same issue multiple times with this practice. Why on earth can’t they just book in a face to face appointment??? You cannot assess a baby’s breathing over the phone. I’m very very dissatisfied with this so called service.

I recently phoned the surgery to get an appointment which was urgent due to my current position working in a patient facing role. However when trying to book an appointment with the receptionist, I was not given the opportunity to fully explain my circumstances. When explaining my symptoms she was incredibly rude and told me that it was not urgent and said to go the pharmacy instead. I have now been unable to go into work at all. I’m not sure if the surgery is trying to reduce their patient load, but coming from a healthcare background, I am certain this is not acceptable patient care.

This Surgery's staff go above and beyond to help and do an amazing job in the current conditions. I previously found it difficult to get through but now with the new system its much easier. Fantastic service

You can not get a face to face appointment without first having a phone call from a doctor 3weeks later! Receptionist shouted at me so when I was trying to explain she said to me stop shouting and let me explain. I said I'm trying to explain I'm not shouting (I wasn't) She was rude and she might as well just said shut up and listen I'm talking or your not getting an appointment! I'm going to change surgery I used to live hinckly really wish I had not left that surgery when I moved to stanton.

Medical condition been ongoing for almost 2 years and getting worse, severely impacting life and work - referred to spinal orthopedics but no appointments for at least 15 months - review with Old School surgery pharmacist to discuss deterioration (including chest pains) and asked to make appointment with GP - gave details when making GP appointment - offered telephone appointment over 3 weeks later

Never waited more than 5min for an appointment, phone lines are answered quickly and always been very happy with the medical care from doctors at this practice. The app is also great and easy to use.

It takes a stupid amount of time to get through to the appointment line by phone, my current experience is 20 minutes holding. I've booked an appointment on line which doesn't state that its a telephone appointment only to be told when I turn up, that they can no longer book face to face without telephone call first. I've had to wait two weeks for this 'telephone appointment' for something that I believe could be quite urgent, and the reality is for the doctor to actually see me will probably take another 2-3 weeks, and blood tests are taking up to 3 months !!!! They were average before the pandemic, but I swear that now the doctors are pretty much working from home. Not impressed, will be moving to another surgery.
