Arrived for appointment 10 mins early, checked in, waited for 10 mins over appointment time, asked if doctor is delayed was advised doctor was parking up, 40 mins later still no doctor, the surgery have to call to ask where the doctor is and then get advised will he another 20 mins, the doctor in question and practice are untruthful and should be in practise

Waited 30 minutes as the first caller, received no response, and then got disconnected. Disappointing lack of attention at the hospital reception. Improvement needed for better patient service.

My mum has always received excellent care from the Doctors at this surgery. The reception staff are kind and always happy to help. Thankyou. It's new phone line helps reduce the stress from trying to get an appointment when calling at 8am

Dear Patient, The practice appreciates your "Positive" feedback. Reception / admin staff & Clinicians continuously look at ways in improving patient experience. I was first heard by the doctor who gave me practical advice to follow according to my condition Also I did not have to wait to see the doctor The only downside was the Doncaster Road surgery has no lift and I had a hip replacement last year The staff at reception were also very helpful A big thank you to all at Doncaster Road surgery Leicester

I am writing a review to express my delight at the change in personnel and service at this practice. My family and I have been registered with this surgery for over 30 years. Admittedly, there have been occasions when I have called in for an appointment and not receiving one and the frustrations relating to this. However, it is a commonly known and complex issue in primary care with regards to access. I had the pleasure of speaking to the new Practice Manager in passing at the practice, she was accommodating and took time to ask me and my mother about our experiences and was keen to take on board suggestions. The new telephone system that has been drafted in has made a massive improvement to overall satisfaction and has made it easier to get through to a receptionist. The reception staff are most of the time helpful and friendly and make me and my family feel at ease. The access and options to speak to different clinicians is also a fantastic addition. I was offered an appointment with a Physiotherapist for back pain and the advice and support offered was second to none. She also wrote me out a sicknote! I don’t usually write reviews due to the time and effort however I felt morally obliged to thank the practice for all their hard work during these difficult times. Hats off to the Practice Manager, doctors and all staff. Kudos!

Me and my family have been registered with this surgery for a long time. Things have been difficult with healthcare given the current circumstances with NHS, I only realised when taking a family member outside of Leicester to their GP appointment (again outside of Leicester) how brilliant this surgery is in comparison. The GP's and most of the staff are very welcoming, very conscious of anxieties that come with visiting for personal health issues. Everything is always explained to me really well so I never leave feeling that I don't understand. I think this surgery does really well and does it's best to accommodate to patient needs.

Having called the surgery after being advised by the optition that something needed following up urgently for a child, was repeatedly told (politely, I must admit) that there were no appointments available. This happened over a number of days after having waited at least 25 minutes on the phone to speak to someone. The only advice given is to call at 8am the next day but after having done that for a few days, I don't know if calling another day will make a difference. At least offer the next available appointment instead of stating that nothing is available for the day or the foreseeable. I understand that people are just doing their job and the receptionist was very apologetic but that does not help my child and we often end up at an alternative surgery rather than our own which is disappointing. Also when trying to book online, page keeps on crashing or not loading so unable to book appointments that way either. Overall, not the best experience, and can't even comment on doctor's service because it has been a while since we actually saw one from this surgery!
