I'm leaving this review on behalf of my 76 year old mum. My mum has called on many occasions with no success. Is there any wonder people are dying when they can't get a simple appointment to see there GP. My mum has had an ear infection for over 3 years and can't wear her hearing aids. I personally think my mum is seriously ill and needs to see her doctor. How can the receptionist ask what the illness is when there not medically trained to decide who needs an appointment or not.

Review titled So difficult to get an appointment

I was given antibiotics for 8 weeks and was told by the Doctor to come back for a review after 4 weeks. For over a week I've been trying to get an appointment but just cannot get through. The only time I get through is when the message states 2no more appointments are available". I've also had a blood test and need to discuss my results with the Doctor, of course I can't get through for an appointment. I went to the surgery as advised by the person on the phone to pick up a copy of my results only to be told that I need to discuss my results with my Doctor before I can see them. It feels like a no-win situation here. I'm going to try to go to the surgery for 8am to see if that gets me an appointment but being self-employed this affects my time at work.

Thank you to the receptionist today. I was called by the hospital with an appointment which meant I needed to start on a certain medication ASAP. I called the practice to explain I was going on holiday tonight! The receptionist said she would do what she could, and she did! Three hours later my prescription was at the chemist. I have always found all the staff at this surgery professional, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Thank you again

Whenever I have had to ring or come to the surgery over the past few years I've had nothing but wonderful service from everyone, the GP's the nursing team and the lovely polite receptionists (in particularly the last one M*****a) who take the calls. It's a wonderful job you all do and I know very demanding in these tough times. I just want to say thank you for all you've done for me and continue to do for everyone.

My 84 year old father has been on a repeat prescription for over 5 years tried to pickup twice in the last month but pharmacy unable to help as doctor not authorised tried to contact doctor whilst at pharmacy but call not answering went to surgery and was promised a call not heard anything 12 hours later dad still got no medication very poor service let’s hope it’s not terminal
