My mother asked me to write this review as I look after her and take her to the surgery. She has moved up to Yorkshire in the last 18 months and was worried she would not find a doctor as good as the one she had had most of her life in her hometown. But she has been so pleased with Stuart Road surgery and feels they have gone above and beyond. The team at reception is helpful, efficient, and friendly - you feel like nothing is too much trouble. Every doctor mom has seen has spent time with her and we both feel that they care and are interested in her wellbeing. I would like to mention one particular standout doctor and the senior practitioner but we cannot mention names in the review, I have no doubt you know who you are, and in fairness, everyone has been excellent. I also attend the surgery and again have had nothing but help and great care when needed. We cannot recommend the surgery enough and imagine that it is always easy to complain about something but not enough is said to say a big 'thank you'. So thank you so much and keep up the good work.

During a challenging time during a family bereavement, the staff at the surgery were extremely helpful in supporting a vulnerable member of the family who needed support getting rehoused.

. I have spoken to the surgery 4 times in the past 2 weeks for myself and my husband regarding a repeat prescription, a new prescription, audiology and a skin care problem. All were sorted efficiently and courteously. Thank you.

very helpful by getting me some antibiotics out of hours due to been unable to get an appointment tablets were waiting at local chemist next morning

Called to make an appointment first thing in the morning. I didn’t set my bar high and was expecting there to be no appointments left, which there wasn’t. What I wasn’t expecting is to be “grilled” by a rather abrupt call handler constantly requesting details of what was wrong with me, and why I wanted to see a doctor! I thought this behaviour had changed from dr’s receptionists? She didn’t stop asking even after telling her that it wasn’t something I wanted to discuss with a receptionist, and that it was a medical matter that I needed to speak to a Dr about. Really disappointing first contact using this surgery, hence leaving this review “and” now leaving the surgery for another.

Consistently impossible to get an appointment. After re-dialling constantly for over half an hour only to be told there are no appointments left for the day, no available pre-bookable appointments available and to ring back the next day. Difficult to hang on a phone line every day at 8am and for this length of time when you are actually at work yourself, to get nowhere.

Stuart road surgery are absolutely useless!!! Awaiting a referral for my 10 year old since April to be told today it hasn't gone through and I'm too late to chase it now!!! Asked about my disabled sons result to be told they are not authorised to discuss with me! I'm his carer so I have every right to know!!! Also paid £30 for a docs letter received today.. might as well let my 10 year old write the letter shocking grammar and spelling! Think it's time to change docs never ever had a problem before until now

I have tried 237 times this morning to try and get through to make an appointment and finally to be told that there are none available for today what a surprise. This system is not working!! You cannot book an appointment to see someone other than a nurse on line, they advertise that you can until you try. When you do get an appointment and you attend the surgery is empty!!!! So where are all these people that have booked appointments that you cannot get??? The surgery needs a lot to be desired.

Near to impossible to get an appointment where you have to ring at specific times and can’t get an appointment in advance. One of the staff mocked me for being anxious when at an appointment. Only positive point my skin problem was sorted successfully over the phone however visiting and booking appointments is an overall unpleasant experience especially for a person such as myself with mental health difficulties
