Had a phone appointment about a sick note that I was inquiring about. That was sorted, I just inquired about medication as I’m having a bad time due to mental health problems, was told they couldn’t help and had to ring again another day. No wonder people don’t go get help. Frairwood use to be the best doctors surgery in Pontefract.

Shocked the only way to get a GP face to face appointment is by ringing at 8am in the morning. The receptionist could not book any future appointments and told me that if I emailed to request a face to face appointment the information would be triaged by a paramedic or a nurse. I work in a hospital so even if I were able to get through to get an appointment how can I just leave my own clinic and patients? I need to book an appointment in advance and that is not unreasonable at all. What is the point of a receptionist just saying I can't make you an appointment just ring at 8am when I know I can't attend in the morning. Shocking.

I can't rate this surgery enough. As busy and as stretched as they are. They still go above and beyond when you actually need it! I can't fault any of the Dr's that I've seen at this practice. I have nothing but good things to say. A mention and thanks too for the lovely ladies/gents behind the scenes also, who have to take our sometimes not so polite calls, you are appreciated too!!

Try to book appointment for last 2 weeks without without success. Over the phone had to wait for over an hour to find out that there is no appointment left and have call tomorrow. Impossible to book online no matter when you try. Also you can’t book appointment on another day. When I told over the phone I have to book a day off to see a gp I was told that nothing they can about it. Impossible to book appointment ahead no matter how bad your condition is. Extremely useless service

Saw a female doctor yesterday regarding bladder problems. She was lovely and knew exactly what was wrong with me. Medication ordered and referral to hospital later on. Thank you for the wonderful care received.

I visited the surgery today for my Covid booster and flu vaccine. I just want to say a huge thank you to the nurses and other staff for giving up their Saturday to enable working patients like myself to be able to attend outside working hours. It was busy but the staff had it all under control the atmosphere was very friendly but also professional thank you you are a great surgery.

Been today for walk-in appointment for flu injection. Excellent service. Nursing staff and administration staff very helpful and informative. Pleasure to visit.

It has become impossible to get any form of appointment. You are told to call at 8am to get and appointment only to sit on hold for 2 hours with a 5 week old baby crying in pain to be told try again tomorrow. Not even a shred of empathy and attempt to help. The receptionist have a chip on their shoulder and act like the NHS bouncers. This surgery used to be so good but has drastically fallen in standards over the last 2-3 years

The staff were extremely friendly and polite. Incredibly informative and helpful truly made my experience of visiting a GP during a tough time better. I was well informed of my appointment time as well as staff asking how my well being was. Generally a positive experience would not go anywhere else would certainly recommend to my friends and other family members, thank you to the doctors and the receptionist staff.
