    I was told by 111 to book an appointment with my GP as soon as possible over a weekend. On ringing the surgery I was told I could not have an appointment until I had tried a pharmacy first !

    Would be nice if they actually answered the phone - after ages being told "your call is important to us and you are number 5 (then 4 then 3 then 2) in the queue" the line then rings out and no one answers - all of this costs money on the phone bill for no result. Your call obviously is not important to them at all.

    You can't get through on the phone, when you do they often hang up before answering the call and you may have been in the queue for over 2 hours, you can never get an appointment, and I find the reception staff rude. I think it's about time someone in authority did an unannounced inspection of this practice. In my view, they are simply terrible and no one seems to care.

    Can’t rely on the phone to get hold of the practice. long queues and deeply frustrating to wait for ages and only to be cut off. I no longer call, choosing instead to go in person. I had a phone appointment scheduled and did not receive a call. No missed calls on my phone however the practice insisted I had been called twice but could not show me any evidence and yet no apology was made. Very disappointing.

    Waited 1hr 20 minutes in a phone queue to cancel an appointment that had been text with the wrong time on .....didn't get through. Went for blood test at otley hospital but they had no records for me, the Dr hadn't sent them through

    Rang up as 8am as advised to try and get my four year old with an ear infection an appointment. Finally got through after 30 minutes to be told by reception that I needed to go to the pharmacy, if they then felt she needed to be seen by a GP I would need to go to the walk in centre in Burmontofs near Leeds city centre. I have now registered with a different GP as feel that the service provided, particularly for children is shocking.

    Reception never picks up, it always runs to a message saying they are 'at capacity' regardless of what time of day you call, and I've had no response to a prescription request marked urgent and submitted days ago. I'm going to be left calling NHS 111 to sort our getting my inhalers, I'm honestly furious. I will be looking to register elsewhere, which is incredibly frustrating since the surgery is near where I live and has been fine until recently.

    I've recently left this practice after more than 30 years as a patient. I don't know what's gone wrong. They used to be brilliant, but now it seems they only exist for the benefit of the administrators. They've introduced a non-urgent call time after 10am, this means they'll ignore your call completely. Phoning for the results of tests is completely ignored, even when you receive a notification from the practice to call them. I contacted the area Customer Experience Manager, they tried the non-urgent service five times - and failed each time. Going to the Yeadon centre to get an appointment by asking face to face is an almost humiliating experience. The receptionists merrily chat away to eachother and completely ignore you for ages, even when it's clear they're only chatting and joking socially. After some minutes of this I had recourse to ringing the bell for attention and still they ignored me, even though they were right there in front of me. I finally managed to get the promise of an appointment by accosting a passing nurse and practically begging her to help. As a result of my complaints I was called by the practice manager, who explained that they were very short-staffed due to Covid and the long phone delays were due to their online triage process. So, we went through this process, which took about 5 minutes, using the example of requesting a change of prescription for migraine tablets. The process refused me a doctor's appointment and recommended I dial 999 for an emergency ambulance. So, in the end, I've left the practice. In fact, when I've discussed this with friends and relatives, I find that everybody's having the same experiences, and they're all thinking of leaving.
