Following the current Government tv advertisement, encouraging men over 50 to have a psa check at your local doctor’s surgery as this is a disease best caught before symptoms show. On trying to do this with cvgp I was told as I haven’t any symptoms I can’t have this check and need to speak to a doctor first. At 55 I have never been offered a health check and feel extremely discouraged to try do so again. I don’t understand the response I received, contrary to the expensive government funded advertisement!

I recently suffered an allergic reaction to an antibiotic i was taking and can honestly say the professional care, and advice I was given by this Practice was outstanding. The GP rang me almost straight away after i put the phone down to the receptionist and gave me advice on what to do and the GP rang me back an hour later as he said he would to check my condition. Luckily I was fine after taking the advice and no medical treatment was needed at A & E. The professionalism and manner of all staff, doctors and nurses at this practice is second to none. I've been a patient here for over 50yrs and have no complaints whatsoever.
