The nurse I visited was not over friendly.......I have visited more approachable nurses. A visit is stress full enough and being relaxed in he company of a stranger i.e. a Doctor or nurse makes a comfortable visit. would re training help ?

I took an elderly neighbour down to the surgery as she had a query but could not get through on the phone and she does not have or want internet. The wonderful lady on reception was so patient and helpful, really listened and sorted things out quickly and easily. However, she was the only person manning the desk and answering phones so if you had to wait for your call to be answered then I apologise, we had her undivided attention at that time.

I would like to reassure you that although it may look like we only have one receptionist, we do in fact have a team working away from the waiting area for confidentiality reasons. When is the surgery getting back to how it was, I was very unwell on Monday spent over 35mins on phone requesting to see a gp, I was very unwell, Told if your so poorly I should go to a&e. excuse me Ive never been spoken to like this ,I do not bother my surgery or a&e. all I wanted was to see a doctor, not wait for a dr to phone me in the afternoon to see if I needed to be seen . I never request to see a gp unless Im feeling so unwell. I make every effort to go to the surgery I never waste their time and always l make my way to see the doctor, I don't abuse the service, I'm a lady of 73yrs unwell .why is it so difficult to see gp . we don't get a choice of who we see , and with my health problems its much easier to be seen by the same gp . why is it so stressful trying to make an appointment ? even when I phone later in the day Im told I have to phone from 8am the following day to make an appointment, it is so ridiculous The drs are lovely Its the system which needs amending when your feeling so unwell why does it take all morning in a cue of 20 more to request seeing a gp . Please make it easier to make a appointment , I can do without further stress ,all I want is a straight forward booking to see a doctor what as happened for it not now getting back to as normal as possible after 2 and a half tough years . I'm still very cautious and still use a mask for my own health . yours mrs sheila rice
