  1. Review titled Extremely poor service

by Seeking Appointment - Posted on 17 November 2023

My father suffers from Parkinson's disease. He had an appointment recently with the Parkinson's specialist nurse. My father's night time tablet dosage was reduced to half the strength due to him experiencing paranoia and hallucinations. The Parkinson's specialist nurse said they sent confirmation of this change (medication dosage) to the GP practice. It was confirmed by the GP admin staff that this change request was received, but wasn't processed until seven days later. However, this change of dosage was not communicated to pharmacy until 17 days later. And this only happened because I continuously chased the GP practices to get answers to why my father's medication still hadn't been changed. Finally, after more than 3 weeks my father received his correct dosage. This caused immense stress to my whole family as we saw our father suffer. This is not an isolated incident as I've experienced this before when dealing with practice.

I'm really sorry to hear that you have experienced problems with the practice. Please contact the practice and ask to speak to Rosie English and an investigation will take place. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

  2. Review titled Unprofessional

Such rude reception staff. Don’t acknowledge the patient and give incorrect clinical knowledge to patients even though it’s not in their job description. Doctors and nurses are good but reception is another story. Today I was told that we’re not allowed to use our phone, when I questioned where does it state this? The receptionist said there was a sign. I’ve never seen this so called sign before. There’s a way to speak to patients and some receptionists clearly don’t know how to. Please give them some training. I have worked at the reception desk before and if I were to speak this way my manager would be having words. I’ve left a review for this practice before thinking someone will call back but that’s not going to happen.
