I'm sorry but my personal experience of a manager at Spa Surgery was way below what I'd expect from a professional manager. Deliberately set out to upset people, to try and belittle them and gets genuine happiness from this. Horrible behaviour. Apparently, 'the Spa Surgery strives to create a caring environment' in order to achieve that you need the right staff.

Thankyou to the nurse who responded to my e-consultation, within 2hr. I was seen at the surgery following a telephone conversation, where I was reassured, given advice on my ear infection. Prescription sent to my local pharmacy, with no delay. Thank you :)

It's clear that the staff here, like the majority of NHS practices are working under increasingly difficult circumstances. In all my dealings with the team, from receptionists to GP's I have been dealt with, with politeness, patience and understanding which goes a long way when you are a nervous patient! They take time to listen and explain ensuring they are clear in all aspects of their communication. It is greatly appreciated.

I recently had to use The Spa Surgery after having excruciating stomach pain. I rang them at 8am and got a call back from a Gp/clinician within 10 minutes. He asked me to come in at 9:30am that morning. He said it would be with a trainee Dr who would then debrief my case with a senior Gp. I was fine with that. He spent 40 mins with me, I was thoroughly examined and I also spoke to the senior Gp. They booked me in for blood tests the next day and gave me antibiotics. Next day came around and pain was even worse. Came in for my blood tests and was in so much pain I asked if I could speak to a Dr they got me in with a Dr within 10 minutes. Dr then said I needed to go to hospital and had rang ahead and admitted me to specific ward and didn’t have to go to A & E. They got me a taxi to the hospital, walked me down and carried my bags. Also looked after my car I had to leave in the car park. Ended up being in hospital for the next 7 days. But very grateful to the team at The Spa Surgery for seeing me and seeing me so quickly! All my other experiences with them have been really positive too. Highly recommend.

I have never had a problem with spa surgery, the reception team are very helpful. I called this morning at 8am for a duty doctor telephone appointment for today, a gp called me back at 810am. Dealt with what was required. My little one has been dealt with brilliantly whenever we have needed a gp. Thank you again to all the staff at spa surgery.
