    After noticing a significant change in one breast and a lump, I contacted the surgery to be told there were no appointments available, including out of hours. Advised to ring at 8am the next day, which I did. After 20 minutes wait told there was only one appointment available on a week’s time. I was informed there are doctors off sick. I understand that face to face appointments are few and far between but surely there should be some out of hours available. We are advised to seek immediate medical attention for noticing changed but appointments just aren’t available.

    Telephone consultation very positive and I was able to discuss more than area of health Phlebotomist identified problem and related it directly to the doctor who immediately rang and ordered a prescription

    Interactions I have had with medical practitioners here have always been good. The administrative functions are however really poor. They have tried to push triage via the website which is confusing and poorly designed and optimised. The online prescription service via Systm Online is bafflingly complex to register for requiring in person visits to the practice to be set up. It took 4 password resets to finally get online access ("No you can't order a prescription on the phone sir, use the website." "It won't let me in with the password you provided." - Repeat ad infinitum) Final straw comes today after ordering a repeat prescription online which appears not to have been issued to the pharmacy network and the GP surgery? Shut with no help or admin support. Interestingly when you try and access the Practice website using the practice guest wifi it blocks access due to website security protocols...Just painfully frustrating to deal with at every interaction.

    Dear Greg, I am sorry you are not happy with the service provided by system 1. This is a national service which we have no control over but it can be frustrating doing the password resets. I am familiar with doing them myself We stopped taking phone requests for prescriptions sometime ago as they just aren't safe. Too many mistakes were made, but I do understand how frustrating this can be. For those who are unable to request prescription online there is a dropbox at each of the surgeries for a handwritten note or your repeat prescription slip. Approximately 4 times a year the surgery completely closes for an afternoon for in-house and systemwide education. Personally, I think this is a really good thing as there is constant change in the NHS and medicine as a whole; we need to keep our staff updated Finally, I was really intrigued that the guest Wi-Fi blocks the practice website. Since then, and as a result of your feedback, I think this issue has been sorted but I would be really interested to know if it has not been Nick Taylor
