I injured my back Sunday morning I have been taking over the counter pain killers which are not helping. Having suffered the pain for a couple of days I reluctantly rang my doctors Tuesday 8am to book an appointment to see a doctor only to be told the next appointment available was Saturday. I explained that I just wanted to see a doctor to get some more powerful painkillers and that Saturday is a long wait whilst in pain. I was told to go to the chemist or walk in centre. This is not the first time my family has not been able to get an appointment with Parkview. We are at the point now where we don't even bother trying and head straight for the walk in centre. I can only assume the surgery does not have enough doctors to service it patient base. We are currently trying to change doctors.

For the third time this year I have had a very positive experience with this surgery. I have waited only a few minutes when ringing and given appointments as necessary. The system is now smooth and patient friendly. My last experience was with the nurses for a general health review, blood tests and a flu jab, all conducted in one appointment. The nurses were very prompt, thorough and gave adequate explanations and advice. This was followed up a few days later with a phone call from the GP who went through the blood results thoroughly and offered advice on other problems which did not require an appointment.

I contacted my GP surgery at 8am, as requested, to make an appt with my GP for either today or tomorrow as I am unwell and off work. The lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely unhelpful, rude and hung up the phone on me. I was told the earliest appointment even for a telephone consultation was sat, today is now Monday. She advised me to go to Bev hospital and sit and wait. I am unwell and think having to sit and wait is unfair when I have done what is requested to see my own GP! I have not achieved anything and am left without an appt or treatment, this service is not good enough

I am very grateful to the staff that they are very sensitive to my needs. Each time they will refer to my medical history and saved me from elaborating my medical issues openly over the counter which I found it uneasy to explain further. The staff are very sensitive and caring to my feelings that they assured me the privacy I have with their professionalism working style. I feel so glad each time after my medical appointment with this Park View surgery.

I called to make an appointment for my medical matter. I was pleasantly surprised that the tone was rang 2 times and I was answered and I managed to make my appointment very smoothly. It was within a few minutes that my medical appointment was handled. I want to add that the receptionist was very polite and approachable to my request made over the phone. I felt so relieved with my problem being solved almost instantly.

Parkview Surgery is an utter disgrace, after trying for days to get an appointment I was finally offered an appointment for 3 weeks in advance of date I had called but and then told to try the telephone booking system the next morning as there may be appointments available. The telephone service takes around 22mins of hold time to finally get through to be told that all they had available was either a face to face for the GP in 2 weeks time or a telephone consultation at a non specific time later that day, how they expect to examine a back injury over the phone is beyond me. They reception staff are rude and one even told me that if I hadn't heard back with results from a scan "that no news is good news!!" The receptionist even quizzed me if I was only ringing to get more pain killers? how a receptionist has the nerve to ask that question I do not know as she doesn't know my medical condition or how much pain I am actually in. After 6 months since my first consultation with a back injury I have been pushed form pillar to post, even to be told that seeking private care at my own cost would probably be best way forward.
