Absolutely terrible service. Rude receptionists who think they are doctors and made me feel like a nuisance. All I wanted was a form to be filled which I paid for the privilege. 1 sheet took 6 weeks shameful.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your comments. We are sorry that you were disappointed with the service that you received when you asked for a report to be prepared by a doctor. Reports are ‘private work’ and have to be prepared after our routine NHS work has been completed. As you are aware, there is significant demand on Primary Care and the NHS, in general, at the present time. This explains why there was a delay in preparing your report. As doctors are not paid to undertake ‘private work’ by the NHS, the costs have to be recovered from the patient. When compared with other professionals, such as an accountant or solicitor, we would consider our fees to be very modest. We do expect our reception staff to always be polite and courteous if this was not the case, on this occasion, we offer our apologies. As you posted your comments anonymously, it has not been possible to investigate your concerns properly. If would like to contact the surgery we would be happy to carry out a thorough investigation.
