Helpful caring staff! I was in a desperate need for a doctor’s appointment for my 15 year old daughter as we were going on a holiday in couple of days, once I explained the situation to the lady on a phone , she kindly got me an appointment the following day at Kingston Health Hull ( Wheeler street) , I was really grateful! Thank you!

  2. Review titled Caring practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am not a regular attender, but when I need them, they are there and respond quickly. There are also the timely follow-ups that are promptly undertaken. The advice that I have been given is accurate and clear. It enabled me to avoid developing a debilitating condition. Consequently, I didn't need 'other' services. This is great proactive care.

  3. Review titled Exceptional reception

Rated 4 stars out of 5

The reception staff at this practice are amazing. They definitely go above and beyond, I've been struggling with depression and only recently started going to doctors about it but rather then just booking me an appointment they actually made me laugh and took there time to help me and gave me so much help they were truly fantastic

  4. Review titled Terrible Practise

Rated 1 star out of 5

Called to try and get an appointment at 8am as this is the only way you can (no pre-booking) on more then one occasion to be told after 35 minutes waiting none for today go to walk in centre (twice). I was 24th in the queue so if you can’t pre-book does that mean the surgery is running less then 25 appointments a day? These places are inundating the emergency care sector due to poor practises and not been able to offer a stable surgery! Covid was the best excuse given to them on a plate to run a more sub standard surgery than they already were. This place needs closing down and starting from scratch. Staff are rude and not compassionate by any means, god forbid if you work and need an appointment. If you are looking for a new surgery, look elsewhere as you will not get the care you need from here! I have been a patient a long time with this surgery but will be looking elsewhere.

We thank you for your feedback but would like to state we are running off a triage list in a morning which means you call at 8am and will be booked in for a GP call back. The doctor will then sign post from there and bring you in face to face if he needs too. We also run an extended access clinic which is out of hours for patients like yourself who work. I am sorry you feel your needs are not been met within Kingston Health

  5. Review titled No appointments

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Tried 3 times to make, an appointment. On 3rd occasion I was number 12 in queue. Not bad I thought. Told no appointment available. I asked how this could be, she said they didn't have many left. Still baffled as you cannot pre book an appointment. I was told Dr had booked their own. How do people manage to speak to a Dr to rebook. I was told to go to a walk in centre. I was too ill. I also needed a follow up with my GP after being in hospital. No, this wasn't happening either. I was told that I could have a video conference call with a random Dr, I agreed, they were to send a link to my phone. Received a call from the surgery an hour later to say link wasn't working, if they could sort it, I would get an appointment, if not, I wouldn't. I didnt! Absolute shambles!

  6. Review titled Good luck getting an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 October 2022

Called for appointment on opening time. Waited in the queue, got to number one in the queue, someone picked up and then immediately hung up. Called back and I was number 15 in the queue. I needed an appointment for my baby who had covid, was extremely weak and had a high temperature. I had already spoke to 111 who had left a message that I should be contacted within 6 hours based on her symptoms by my GP surgery. When I eventually got through I was told no appointments were available. Feeling highly stressed with lack of sleep and concern for my baby I managed to remain calm and politely insisted we be seen and that we couldn’t attend a walk-in Centre, as she advised, because all of us were Covid positive. The receptionist then found an appointment, somehow. This GP surgery is getting steadily worse. If they are unable to address the issues, whether that be GP staffing levels or some other problem, the least they need to do is explain this to us, the patients. Where is the communications strategy? Simply be up front with patients about the problems you are facing and how waiting lists and appointment availability is being tackled. Put it on your website or something. In the meantime, surely there’s a triage system? A baby with a high fever being looked after by two parents with Covid surely qualifies as a priority.
