    I've had to arrange a new appointment to provide urine and blood sample again for prostate check as Medefer hadn't submitted my sample to the lab before the alloted time so sample was spoilt. Totally unacceptable as I have a needle phoebia and I thought sample delivery was an essential part of their service. Totally unacceptable!!

    I was originally really impressed because everything moved quickly and there was a lot of communication. I requested a call with a consultant and I was given an appointment for within a few days, and the consultant was really lovely. They informed me that if I received a letter after my tests that it would mean everything was okay, and if I was given an appointment there was something to discuss, and I believe that they thought that was true. However I was then informed by letter that I have cancer. I received a call from Medefer saying that they had a letter for me and could they please have my email address, so I was relieved. Only to open the email 10 minutes later and find that news. And my GP told me that it wasn't the first time that this has happened. In the same letter it says that I live alone, so logically receiving that letter I wouldn't have any immediate support. I think that Medefer is a great idea and down the line can be an absolute asset, but I just can't believe the lack of empathy to tell a 23 year old they have cancer in an email. Once that is addressed then Medefer will be a positive addition to the NHS.

    I didnt to have to wait long for the appointment, I had the procedure explained over the phone and leaflet through post, I was seen and had the procedure done without much delay and the procedure was comfortable.

    Was referred to Medefer by my GP in July and after an initial problem with the contact which Medefer apologised for I was asked to undergo a blood test and and two stool tests which I completed within a couple of days.After about a month of waiting I phoned them to chase it up and promptly had a letter asking me to redo the same tests which I duly did. They included a blood test form which I rang them to query as it did not appear to be filled in correctly but they said no it was ok as they would know at the blood test clinic at Queen’s what was needed. When I went for the test I was promptly turned away as the form had not been completed! Back home I went and phoned Medefer and they told me the 4 boxes to put crosses in, so back to Queens to have the blood test. In approx another 4 weeks and further phone call, I had a letter saying the test were ok but because of my kidney function wasn’t good enough to have the normal colonoscopy and they were arranging a specialist colonoscan. After further weeks with no appointment I phoned again and was asked to phone the radiology department at Queens which I did only to be told the form Medefer submitted was incomplete! Back on the phone again to Medefer and was told they would submit the form again and apologised. It’s now 27th October 3 months onand still waiting, a total shambles!

    Easy to use appointment booking service. Doctor asked detailed but unambiguous questions about my condition and listened well to my reply ensuring an appropriate diagnostic and treatment options moving forward. I was impressed

    Since covid-19 began, I have not been booked for my routine medical check by an oversight. I complained to my GP who referred me to the regular outpatient clinic to be scheduled for an appointment. This was when Medefer contacted me and got me a quick appointment. I am pleased with this service which provided me with the opportunity to continue my routine medical check up. Many thanks to Medefer and its entire team.
