  1. Review titled Any appointments?

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am still waiting to get an appointment as I suffer from eye pressure. So far I’ve for more than 2 1/2 hours on hold. Still waiting just to get a routine appointment. The service used to be very good under The Practice. Possibly Operose is cheaper. NHS is wasting our money. Shame. If this carries on, we will require more expensive treatments.

  2. Review titled The Practice is unfit for purpose and should be scrapped

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called Operose Health on 10th November 2023 on telephone number 01494 690 950. I was told I am fifth in the queue. As I am leaving this review, I am told I am now second in the queue and I have been on hold for over two hours. The service is incredibly appalling, totally abhorrent and completely useless

Rang the posted telephone number, 4th in the Queue, 2 and 1/2 hours on hold, still no answer. Been number 1 for more than an hour.

  4. Review titled Terrible Appointment System

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 May 2023

Have tried to re arrange and appointment and start around 16th in line. Then get to the front and get told they are retrieving my details and get put on hold again. They then shut the lines down earlier than their times citing staff training.

  5. Review titled Very very poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been trying without any success by phone or email to get a prescription sent to my GP Surgery with a change of drops to be placed on my file as a repeat prescription. You hang on for ages on the phone or get a message that the lines are closed for staff training and to leave a message and they will get back to you. This never happens. How am I suppose to get my new prescription which is so very important.? Everything used to be fine when I was seen at my local hospital and my own optician is fantastic. I have made an apt with him to have my pressures checked properly but he cannot give me the prescription I need. I am very frightened and appalled with the so called service this so called provider is supposed to be giving. Help. I feel for anyone else going through this fiasco at the moment. .

  6. Review titled poorly run to the point of chaos

a week ago i was telephoned and told out of the blue, that I had been sent a letter with two appointments. i had not i was then given the appointments over the telephone which i noted and explained that i had already been to moorfields at brent cross and had many tests done and saw a dr. you have no record of this. you promised to write and confirm the two appointments I was given, you have not. one appointment was: monday 6th march at grandunion health clinic ub5 6w it is not clear what exactly what test I am having done. then you send this note below. your review cannot include words that are all in capital letters!!! You have not provided any info. the second appointment is : 21st march at hanwell eye clinic. again you have not confirmed in writing. I have already complained about the original appointments. here I received an initial appointment at hanwell and then nothing, then letters not arriving. do you actually have patients addresses. the service of operose is grossly inefficient, causes excessive delays, and puts a burden on gps who have to deal with the fallout.

  7. Review titled Poor communication

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Appointment rushed. I was called dear instead of using either my christian name or full title. Felt 105. Even at 105 I would not wish to be called dear. Consultant appeared not to want to explain anything properly. When trying to ask questions I was not listened to. If on going treatment required I will be reluctant to have with this organisation. May request second opinion.

  8. Review titled Unnerving experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

When I didn’t receive an appointment I tried phoning & I also had trouble getting through, giving up after waiting 30 mins or more each time. I also couldn’t get through when I phoned the head office. My call was finally answered & I got an appointment. I arrived at Droitwich, Worcs, to a note pinned to a desk saying sit & wait to be called. No-one else was in the waiting room. I was called in by someone I assume, was the optician & told all other staff were off sick. Luckily my Hubby was with me, or I would have been very uncomfortable on my own in a deserted building. After a couple of minutes he said that one of the tests done at my opticians had not been done correctly & I needed another one. He could have just said I needed another test instead of saying it had been done wrong, so I thought that was very unprofessional. I should have seen two other people for tests while I was there, but were told they were also off sick, so I have to wait again for the other appointments. I did say I wished he had phoned me so I could have re-booked for all the tests instead of having to go back, wasting my time & costs. He also told me he was referring me for an x-ray, but after asking him, I still don’t know where, who with, or more importantly why. At the end, he did ask if I had any questions, but I didn’t bother as I wasn’t getting anywhere with the ones I had already asked. I felt he got through my appointment with a “couldn’t care less” attitude. I am now looking for an alternative clinic.

  9. Review titled Not great practice

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Normally I have attended Kidderminster Hospital for Glaucoma treatment. Since being referred elsewhere the experience has been most unsatisfactory. I have been shipped all around the County to various venues and even arrived at one to find out my appointment had been cancelled!! The admin is very poor, a change of medication has still not been reported to my GP. You can never get in touch because of long waiting times on the telephone. I would not recommend this Company. Would trust my optician more.

  10. Review titled Previously fantastic but....

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 November 2022

This week the phone lines have been shutdown for 48hrs that I know of. A message of "callback this afternoon" at 15:30 is ridiculous. I'm told I can leave a message and be called back.....yeah right. Staff at clinics have always been fantastic though I can't fault them.
