    I rang to make an appointment to see a doctor. The receptionist said there weren’t any available . I asked her why is it when myself or my partner try and make an appointment we are told the same thing, none available ? She said that unfortunately the practice is oversubscribed. I was appalled to see that on the NHS site, they are accepting new patients! I can’t believe they are taking new patients, when the receptionist actually said they had too many patients already, by using the word oversubscribed. Ridiculous !

    Dear patient thank you for taking the time to feedback. I am so sorry this has been your experience and would love to be able to investigate this further so would appreciate if you could contact me directly so that I can listen to the telephone conversation. Whilst we are very busy we are absolutely not over subscribed and have urgent appointments available on a daily basis and can book non-urgent appointments up to two week in advance.     I’ve been with this practice for many years, but I’m now going to have to look for a different doctor surgery. The problem is trying to get an appointment, I’ve been trying now for nearly 5 months. First I tried phoning, there’s never any left. Then I visited the practice, was asked lots of personal questions, then told a doctor will phone me later that day. I never got a call, so rang the next morning, and was told the doctor would call me back, which they didn’t. I went back to the surgery to explain that twice I’ve been promised a call but didn’t get one, just to be told to phone first thing the next morning. I did this, and surprise surprise, no appointments left, even though I rang when the surgery first opened. I’ve got more chance of winning the lottery that getting an appointment here. When I first registered here, there were always appointments, sadly those days are long gone, which is a shame because the doctors are very good here, but you haven’t good much chance of seeing one.

    We are so sorry to hear you have had problems getting an appointment and would like to look into your case further to help us understand and rectify any problems. We have daily "urgent" appointments available with our Advanced Nurse Practitioners and on-call GP but are also able to book up to two weeks ahead for routine appointments, checking our appointment book this morning I can see our next routine appointment is available on Thursday 17th November.
