    It seems that unless you need childhood inoculation, a smear test or breathing difficulties this surgery is not for you. I've tried calling, system online and the NHS app all with no success. I'm beginning to wonder if the practice is still open? A trip to A&E is on the cards for me. It's only a cancer scare, nothing to worry about!

    I am sorry to hear about the difficulties that you have experienced when trying to make an appointment at the practice. Thank you for making the time to speak with me on the telephone. I hope the information I was able to provide was helpful. As discussed there are THREE ways that patients can contact the practice to request medical advice. 1. Online using our online system eConsult available from the homepage of the practice website www.boroughroadandnunthorpe.nhs.uk. You do not need to register to use this service, it is available to all patients just look for the bright blue eConsult box and click on the GET STARTED button. 2. Telephone - a member of our admin team will take you through a series of questions over the telephone to gather information about the reason for your call. The information you provide will be passed to a Doctor for review. It will help the Doctor to determine what medical help you may need and how soon you may need this help. 3. In person - please call into the practice in person and complete a short appointment request information form. The information you provide will be passed to a Doctor for review. It will help the Doctor to determine what medical help you may need and how soon you may need this help. Regardless of how your request is received (online, by telephone or in person) it will follow the same process. The information you provide will be passed to a Doctor. The Doctor will review the information and decide what needs to happen next. A member of our team will get in touch with you to let you know the outcome and arrange any follow up appointments that may be required. I hope this information is helpful.     Excellent service via E-consult today. 2 x E-consult at 10am - both parties seen by doctor and practice nurse by 2.30pm. Cannot ask for more - Excellent

    I praise when there is good service and complain at the lack of it. Sadly the service here is the worst I have ever come across. The telephone system is extremely bad. The receptionist was totally uncooperative. I have been waiting* six months to see my doctor*. I was ill with UTI was given the wrong medicine: which made matters very much worse. No apology was made : this shows an uncaring attitude.

    Dear patient Thank you for your feedback. I am extremely sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the standard of service provided by the practice. We strive to provide the best care possible to all our patients and welcome all feedback. During Sept 2022 we upgraded our telephone system. When telephone lines are busy patients are now able to request a call back from the practice rather than waiting on the telephone line. If a call back is requested the telephone system will hold the patients call in the call queue and initiate a callback when it reaches position 1 ( first in the queue). We hope this change will improve the patient experience of contact the practice by telephone. I would also like to make you aware that all patients can contact the practice online using eConsult. eConsult is an online consultation tool which can be used to request medical advice or ask an administrative question. To use eConsult there is no registration process or password required, to get started please navigate to the practice website www.boroughroadandnunthorpe.nhs.uk and look for the bright blue eConsult box. All online consultations are reviewed by a clinician the same day. If a follow up appointment is required the practice will contact the patient to arrange this. I am sorry to hear about your recent UTI and medication problems. I would be happy to investigate this further for you. To facilitate this I will require further information.     Tried to register here today. No one in practice. Forms already to process but the receptionist spoke to us breathily then moved on to a random person who walked in after us helping him to register. Instead of sorting out our forms. Kept on ignoring us until large queue formed. Ignored me when I went to desk to ask for assistance and stuck her nose in air. So we walked out and decided we had a lucky escape not getting registered at this practice.
