    After discussing a problem I had regarding some blood test results, the receptionist said after making some enquiries I would receive a telephone call on my mobile to inform me of their findings. As promised I received a call within 45 minutes with some helpful information. Thank you for such understanding, its so nice to know there are people who really care.

    I called today as I have athiritis in my hands. I have been experiencing more than usual pain in my thumb and during a telephone consultation on Friday I forgot to discuss my thumb issues. Today the base of my thumb was double the size of my other thumb the pain was severe and shooting up my arm. I could feel heat from the joint too. I called to ask if i could pop in to show the nurse or would I need to book an appointment as I was concerned and wanted someone to make sure it wasn't septic arthritis joint but just inflammation. I was advised the 1st I could see the nurse was monday . I called back to ask if I could even send a picture for one of the doctors to take a quick look at it... As i just wanted some peace of mind and stop me panicking. I was again told no .. the surgery is fully booked and it was suggested to me to see my pharmacy.

    All clinicians, nurses and admin staff have always been very polite, friendly, helpful and very thorough with my appointments and explain everything in detail. My mum who sadly passed received excellent care from Bankhouse Surgery who went above and beyond with her care especially her palliative care, mum praised all of the staff a lot in her final week for their care and support in ensuring she was in the most comfortable state she could be. My thank you and praise to them is on a very high level for this. Keep up the excellent work Bankhouse staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Having been diagnosed with ‘chronic pain’ from a doc back in March 23 and little support part to relive apart from do yoga. The pain continued through out and when had to call in Jan 24 as pain getting worse and swelling increasing to see doctor I managed speak to one on Mon at 10:30 for him to advise that something showed up on a scan back in may and that I need F2F to see how it has got and that some one call back to make appointment same day or next day. I had to call back on tue as no call, only to be told that I had call back again on Thur to make appointment for it … no explanation apart from that what manger advised to do… when asked for doc notes they said for admin to make appointment but not done and now waiting another 3 days and still need call again even though going create one. Been with Bankhouse since child when a high street and really do feel that lack of care over last numbers of years as reduced and wether to busy or not sure what the communication between doctors managers and staff is causing no end of dissatisfaction…. let’s hope not serious

    Especially since being diagnosed with chronic illness last year and ongoing issues currently, I have found the staff go out of their way to help me, whether that's a same day appointment or assistance and advice by phone. Every GP I've spoken with has made me feel safe, confident and reassured, are patient, kind and caring.

    Over the past two weeks the reception team have been so helpful. Very patient during telephone calls and face to face. Clear explanations. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better service.

    I moved to this practice a few months ago and have been amazed with the level of care I have received. Every member of staff I have encountered has been exemplary. The receptionists have been polite and helpful, the practice nurse I saw couldn’t have been nicer nor more efficient and the two GPs I’ve spoken to prove that the NHS is the best thing we have in Britain. Compared to my last practice, Bankhouse is just on a different level. I really can’t praise the staff enough. Thanks to you all

  8. Review titled Took inhalers off my repeat prescription

    I have chronic asthma and have 3 inhalers plus tablets. The surgery took all inhalers off my repeat including my reliever, stating I needed an asthma review. The appointment was for a month away. This was then cancelled by the practice and another was made..another month away. I had my review and they were still not on my repeat prescription!! Called up to be told to email? Which I did to be told the practice pharmacist had to check them? Why? I'd had a med review and an asthma review so why did they need to sign them off? So waited 3 months for items that I essentially need to live!! I've also had 2 appointment letters one for a smear and one for a routine blood test! Which I booked. Only to be told my smear wasn't due til next year and they couldn't see why I needed a blood test! So petrol money wasted as well as parking fees! Very unprofessional and have to wait over a month for a non emergency appointment!

    I have several issues wrong with me and as I cannot cope with using the phone I have put all my issues onto the system using the econsult that the practice say you can use. One issue says is urgent and I need to see a GP urgently. I cannot do this as the only way to get an appointment is by telephone which I cannot do. I have been put on a waiting list for a GP appointment which is 5-6 weeks away (this is for the urgent same day issue) The other issues I am being refused an appointment altogether. You are only allowed 1 issue per appointment yet I have several issues but am only allowed 1 appointment. I am unable to call and I have sent emails using the Web address on their website explaining situation but I get no response from them. They know I cannot call them and they have also told me that I'm not allowed to email them enquires , even though they do have an email address on the website for that purpose, which is what I use.

    Its impossible to get to see a gp. I used the online consultation form and it says i cannot use it because of my answers and I need to speak to a gp urgently, I cannot get to see one and I don't even get a response from emails
