For all medical advice that is NOT accident or emergency, please ring 111 where you will recieve advice on what to do next.

At the end of each day our phone lines are switched through to SELDOC (our cover for out of hours) at 1830 each evening and from 1830 Fri evening to 0745 Monday morning - if you need urgent medical attention (after seeking advice from 111)  please ring the SELDOC Patient Line on 0208 693 9066. 

Please DO NOT use A&E unless it is a real accident or emergency.

For info, although the doors may be locked, staff man the surgery and reception desk until 1830 Mon - Wed & Fri and until 2000 each Thursday, and are contactable via the outside buzzer system; however all GPs and Nurses finish their appointments prior to this time and you are advised to contact the surgery the next day for new appointments.

RESULTS OF THE 2013 ANNUAL PATIENT SATISFACTION SURVEY

The results of the 2013 Annual Patient Satisfaction Survery are now posted for patient information.

Again, although the GP Partners, Nurses and staff are happy to see such positive results in favour of the clinical and patient services, access and overall satisfaction with the Practice, we never rest on these laurels and will be working hard to improve the general patient experience and service delivery here at Camberwell Green.

Thank you to all those who completed the Survey and your general comments have been noted and will be addressed in the forthcoming action plan.

NEXT PPG MEETING - WEDNESDAY 29 OCTOBER 2014

The next meeting is taking place at the Surgery on Wed 29 October 14 starting 1830

The practice Patient Participation Group (PPG)  (started in July 2011) meets 4 times per year during the months of Jan, Apr, Jul & Oct 

All existing and new members are welcome - if you would like to join or show interest please contact Reception Desk or complete the short PPG membership form first (attached) and bring in/send in. 

The Senior GP Partner (or A N Other GP Partner) accompanied by the Practice Manager and Patient Services Manager attend each meeting and they work in close unison with Ela Spechko in her capacity as Chair of the PPG.

Please feel free to register your interest and join us for any of the meetings.

OUR ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONERS

The two Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Sharon Weller & Noreen McGourty are working supporting the GP Partners each morning with the Open Access/Walk In surgeries and during the afternoon they now see patients on a Triage basis as well as dealing with housebound visits and Integrated Care patients.

SEEING A DOCTOR, ADVANCED NURSE OR PRACTICE NURSE

In order to deliver the best level of access & service we operate both a Morning "open access / walk in" Surgery 0800-1000 and pre-bookable afternoon appointments from 1400-1630 (plus early Morning/Late evening appointments Tues, Wed & Fri mornings 0730-0750 /Thurs eve 1830-1920).  

The 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners now have availability to see Triage patients who attend the practice where no booked appointment is available and this gives us more capability to see more patients on the day of presenting.

If you attend before 0900 your can request the GP or Advanced Nurse of your choice (if that GP is in Surgery that morning)

NEW WEBSITE - NOW LIVE

Pleased to announced the new Website is now live at:

www.camberwellgreensurgery.nhs.uk

Please take time to have a look over it and if you have any constructive suggestions please send them in via camberwellgreensurgery@nhs.net where they will be coordinated and reviewed.

The new website also features an on-line Repeat Prescription Service; you will need to complete the simple registration process first and then you will be able to use this if unable to drop your request into the practice.

Please note that the new website currently DOES NOT have on-line appointment or registration facilities but these will be introduced after testing in due course.

All news items will be added as they happen too.

CLOSURE OF THE TRAVEL VACCINATION SERVICE

The Travel Vaccination Service is now Closed

It is regretted that due to a reduction in the Practice Nursing team (due to retirement) we can no longer deliver a Travel Vaccine Service as we must ensure all nursing availability is directed to NHS core centric clinical work.

Please check other local Practices and the Lister Walk-in Centre to see if they can offer this service but the attached document lists the main London Walk-in Travel Vaccine Clinics who specifically deal with this type of service.

Your understanding with this is greatly appreciated.

ACCIDENT & EMERGENCY (A&E) OVERLOAD

Please note that currently and for a few months now, all South London A&E Depts have been at maximum stretch and near overload inc those attending in person and via ambulance; our GPs will only refer to Kings College A&E where absolutely necessary and appropriate.

Please also be advised that the Lister Walk-in Centre is available for use by our patients as a stop gap between the times we are not open and should always be considered before thinking about A&E

SHARING OF PATIENT CARE DATA

Dear Camberwell Green Surgery Patients,

IT IS CONFIRMED THAT NHS ENGLAND HAVE SHELVED THESE PLANS UNTIL THE SUMMER 2014 AND HAVE AGREED THAT THEIR PREVIOUS LEAFLETTING STRATEGY AND THE ACTUAL LEAFLET AND INFORMATION CONTAINED WITHIN IT WERE BOTH FLAWED - FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED WHEN RECEIVED FROM THE NHS

ALL patients are advised and reminded that when placing Prescrition requests in any format, that they must include the FULL NAME, DATE OF BIRTH & ADDRESS of whom the request is for and also their contact number if we need to contact you. 

If your request does not contain all this information we will not be able to process your request.

INSURANCE & OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE WORK

Please could all Patients note that Insurance Company requests for Medicals and Medical Notes will always be 2nd Priority behind our core clinical work seeing and dealing with patients primary medical care.

At times of high patient demand there may be some delays in dealing with the administration of these requests; we would appreciate you and your insurance companies forebearance at these times.

if you wish to state a complaint to the Practice, you may wish to download the attached form and useful instructions and then complete at home.  You should then present it to the Patient Services Manager at the Practice.

You may find it useful to discuss your complaint and the issues you have with the Practice Manager as it can prove productive to work together before lodging an actual complaint.

The Practice has totally revamped and revised its procedures, policies and protocols on the subject area of complaints incorporating a host of updated health service guidance and best practice.

If you have a complaint please feel free to discuss the matter or issues with the Practice Manager as this can sometimes lend towards resolving some or all of the issues through understanding, good communications and trust.

Dear Local SE5 Residents - just to clarify that we are registering NEW Patients who live in the Southwark SE5 Post Code area (subject to some minor expceptions due to locality etc). It is recommended that you come and register in the afternoon when less busy and if you do have any form of Proof of Address that will be helpful but is not mandatory.
