Finding a training course

If you're a carer and you've been out of work for some time, you may decide the best way to find a job is by taking a training course.

There are many training courses available, so it's a good idea to decide first of all what kind of studying you want to do, why, and what qualifications you wish to get from the course. This will ensure you choose the best training course for the job you want.

With so many courses available you can choose to study or learn:

  • full-time,
  • part-time,
  • through a short course (these range from a few hours to a few weeks), or
  • for several years.

Your local Jobcentre Plus can offer help and advice on finding training courses that suit you.
