  1. Review titled Inefficient

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Marion Cherrington - Posted on 22 April 2024

My Husband went to collect my prescription yesterday Sunday 21st April and was told even though they had had the prescription request from the surgery since the Thursday before it wasn't made up. Come back tomorrow. So he went today to be told it still wasn't made up so waited whist it was done. He was given what medicines they had but three out of ten were out of stock. Apparently the pharmacy is expecting a large delivery tomorrow so it probably wont be worth going again until Wednesday. A few weeks ago I was given my own pills plus another person's pills. I returned the ones that did not belong to me. If you go to the pharmacy at the weekend the queues are long because there never seems to be enough staff and when you get to be served they cannot answer questions as I am told they do not normally work in Tesco Warfield so it's come back Monday. This is not the sort of service one would expect from a supermarket which is supposed to be one of the leading companies in the country. I have been a Tesco customer for many years but not for much longer.

  3. Review titled Dossett pack phase out

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alan Hanger - Posted on 28 February 2024

My letter to the Tesco Pharmacy Superintendant explains my annoyance of them driving customers away who require dossett packs for safe dispensing. Dear Superintendant Below is a list of the medication that your team at Corby dispense for my wife each month. The oral meds are made up into Dossett packs to ensure I can safely give them to my wife. I manage her meds as she has dementia. Depending on her condition her meds are fluid, and the team adapt easily to changes that have to be made. It is by far the best service we have received from any pharmacy. The team have informed me they have been directed to stop issuing Dossett packs, so as they are important for safe dispensing, I now have to reluctantly find another pharmacy. Before so doing, I urge that you reconsider your strange dictat to get rid of what you probably consider nuisance customers and ask that you share your appraisal of how ridding yourself of us balances against lost sales. If your answer is to remain inflexible to your customers’ needs, can you please give details of your complaint’s procedure. Yours sincerely Alan Hanger

  4. Review titled Not interested at all

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Michael Foster - Posted on 21 February 2024

I have used Tesco Horwich Pharmacy since electronic prescription applications began, they were good, but in the last 12 months they have been not interested at all and refuse to answer the phone if they do answer lift the receiver and put it down, days when my scrip was ready they would text me - not anymore, so I will not be in Tesco as often so that will cost Tesco, useless! . I am going to vote with my feet.

  5. Review titled Appalling service

Rated 1 star out of 5

We would never recommend Tesco pharmacy at Kew, Southport. Morning 28 January - When I went to collect medication, the pharmacist spent the entire time on his phone causing long queues and distress to customers who were waiting to be served. No concept of rescheduling work. Afternoon 28 January - Having been passed by NHS 111 to the pharmacy, for a severe allergic reaction to omeprazole, the pharmacist was offhand and uninterested. The pharmacy was given clear notice of NHS111's instruction to us but were totally unprepared. Not only did he dress in an unprofessional manner (hoodie, jogging trousers), his bedside manner was just as unprofessional. He seemed to believe that a personal situation could be discussed in the open in front of queuing customers. When I insisted on privacy, he couldn't locate the key to the consultancy room. I walked away and sorted out the problem without involving this pharmacy. Anybody needing a consultation, please use an alternative pharmacy. This is not a good place to go

  6. Review titled Absolutely awful.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Stacey - Posted on 12 December 2023

Absolutely appalling from Tesco in Portsmouth. I’ve had problems and problems with the pharmacy dispensing life saving Insulin to me. To the point when on three occasions I’ve been left without any at all. The most recent occasion (today) I’ve gone with an emergency prescription given by the dr which was sent over yesterday afternoon. (it’s now the next day evening) for insulin. To be told I have to wait 72 hours. When I questioned why, when it’s an emergency prescription, I was faced with rude and curt responses. So I’m not without Insulin again, overnight and I’ll be spending most of tomorrow chasing this up. It’s awful.

  7. Review titled Terrible service won’t answer phone

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Paul - Posted on 27 December 2023

I have spent an hour today trying to sort out a repeat prescription as an automatic dispensing customer on the phone. Only to have it ring out or be hung up on. This seems to happen every time I call so I doubt that I am the only one. It bothers me because if I just show up at the pharmacy they tell me off for not calling in advance! If you advertise these services then they need to be adequately staffed in order to be able to be used. And certainly it rudely told off when they can’t be bothered to answer the phone.

  8. Review titled Said my meds were in stock. I’m still waiting

Rated 1 star out of 5

Seven days ago they said my meds would be in stock. Returned next day. They said it had not come in return tomorrow. This has continued for seven days now. False promises and incorrect stocking items

  9. Review titled Absolutely not up to standard

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Jennifer Taylor - Posted on 22 October 2023

I’m an OAP on hypertension meds ordered every 2 months Tesco Pharmacy Whitstable Kent isn’t to date I’ve either had to join a long queue to obtain my prescription and every time they have not got my drugs I need I’m asked to call again for these. My last prescription was ordered with my doctors practice a week before. I spent a good 15mins in a queue my High Blood pressure meds 2 months supply were not in stock. Eventually after a 20min wait the pharmacist found me a tatty box somewhere of 28 tabs to tide me over. I can’t be the only one who finds this pharmacy not coping with demand ? This pharmacy isn’t a bus ride away I have to rely on a lift to collect my prescription having to return yet once again

  10. Review titled Failing to provide the advertised service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 April 2023

The tesco pharmacy advertised a service where your doctor sends them your prescription, you receive a text to say it is ready then pick it up. For some months now, I haven't received any texts and when going to pick up my prescription I am being told to either return tomorrow or wait as long as 90 minutes. When I asked why this was happening, I received a curt response of "This is how the management want it so complain to them" I no longer use tesco pharmacy.
