  1. Review titled Atrocious

by Miss Sylvia Armer - Posted on 08 June 2024

Absolutely disgusting treatment at this hell hole. 9 hours wait for ambulance. Finally arrived at 3.30am and was sent home without treatment. Got home only to be called back into A+E again. When arrived, sat for 6 hours waiting to be admitted. I'm the end I walked out!!!!

  3. Review titled Not good not bad neutral

Rated 3 stars out of 5

My friend brought me today to the emergency department due to my lower back pain and my badly walking. My partner collected me back afterwards. So, whole the time I had to walk with my back issue, which was sciatica without any wheelchair support. Also after examination, which brought me an awful pain I felt myself more awful and frustrating than before, when I came. Literally there was no help a lot, just bringing pain more than it was. No x-ray, no check, how my annual disc tear is after injury. Very frustrating.

I was so anxious about my minor procedure however, the operating surgeon and the nurses were so sweet and comforting, one even held my hand the whole way through. They really made the experience less worrying for me which I really appreciated. All of the staff were lovely.

  7. Review titled Exceptional care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Claire Greaves - Posted on 11 May 2024

I brought my 73 year old Mum to an exceptionally busy A&E last night. We were seen by triage nurse, blood tests, ECG so fast. Then a male Nurse Practitioner took over my mum’s care & treatment. I felt that he cared about my mum’s symptoms, our concerns, he had time for us & fully examined my mum. My mum was given a bed in Majors 4, and he continued to come & check on my mum’s condition throughout the night & keep us updated on her treatment plan. His bedside manner was exceptional along with his knowledge. I felt complete trust in his care for my mum when she felt very unwell. Thank you to all A&E staff last night that cared for my mum. And for the tea and cake at 1am to keep me going!

  10. Review titled Surgical Day Case Unit was phenomenal!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Georgia - Posted on 18 April 2024

I don’t often write reviews but I’m so impressed with the Surgical Day Case Unit that I couldn’t not - I’m literally writing this from my hospital bed! 🤣 Every single person I’ve come into contact with has been phenomenal. Both anaesthesiologists came and introduced themselves to me, followed by the consultant and surgical nurse, and they were all great - friendly and informative which is exactly what you need when you’re nervous about surgery. The jokes were free flowing and it made me feel so much better. All the nursing and HCA team on the ward were fantastic too, as were the people in recovery - I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They’ve all been kind, personable, explanatory and honestly, they made having surgery somewhat enjoyable. I mean, the surgery itself not so much but I’m sure you get what I mean 🤣 Thank you!
