I recently needed a repeat prescription which I requested via email. It didn’t come to the pharmacy so the pharmacy requested it. I got a txt 5 days later saying I need a review in order to get the repeat. At this point I’ve run out of the daily medication. I couldn’t get an appointment that fits around my work commitments for another 8 days. So I went to a private doctor and they told me I could use the NHS Emergency Supply online. That was very helpful. The Allum was not. I despair for the NHS.

Our GPs review patient's medications on a regular basis to make sure that they are compliant and receiving their medication correctly. I had a procedure done and in the report received from the hospital it stated that a follow-up is needed which The Allum Medical Centre ignored. I find this centre is playing with peoples lives, not treating their patients with respect. Cannot get a face to face appointment everything is done by treearge phone calls. Your diagnosis is given over the phone with a prescription to collect from the pharmacy. Looking for a new GP.

Had problems with my hearing which was bothering me. I was told to come along to the surgery at 7.50a.m Monday morning and join the queue which I did. When I reached the reception desk I was told a Doctor would call me later that day which they did and saw a Doctor at 2.45pm. Very impressed all round thank you. Only fair to write this positive review,as often we can end up writing negative reviews when our experience is not what we wanted.

I have been with allum medical centre for a few years and have always encountered both doctors and staff to be extremely professional and meticulous. I recently met a new addition to the centre who went into detail regarding my health issues.

I joined the Allum Medical Practice in 1998 and never been tempted to leave. Quite the contrary. Only recently, however, have I depended on its staff, administrative as well as medical, quite as much as recently. Their response to the very difficult conditions under which they work, in the wake of the pandemic and its consequences, has been exemplary, for me, on crucial occasions, well above and beyond reasonable expectations. The administrative staff has always been friendly, polite and helpful, the doctors and nurses likewise, and highly competent insofar as a patient untrained in their fields of expertise can judge. When I moved to the area I was told by a trusted neighbour that the Allum was by far the best choice. In these last 27 years that judgment has been confirmed over and over again. Were I qualified I very much doubt I could achieve their standard of care. Bravo and thank you!

I have been with this practice over 20 years and I have been very satisfied with the service I have received. I find the receptionists helpful and polite. On my most recent visit, I was given a same day appointment, the doctor saw me promptly, and I was treated sympathetically and very professionally - overall a very positive experience.

I have been with The Allum Medical Centre for many years now and my experience with the Doctors and Staff have always been very good. The Receptionist are warm and friendly, competent and professional, always ready to help. I have recently been seeing a new Doctor who specializes in Diabetes. I am so impressed with her. She is a no nonsense Doctor but at the same time, she’s loving and compassionate and she really believes in me. I love her care and attention and she’s doing everything she can to help me become ‘a good diabetic.’

appointment was on time , actually early, the nurse was very friendly and professional as she/he has been in the past. I had a glued eyebrow which she/he removed a lot of the excess glue and gave good advice re removing the rest

I have been on a cancer journey for 3 years. The Allum practise have been supportive, informative and caring throughout , whilst having to deal with Covid too. Three of their receptionists are exceptional. When I have been highly stressed they supported me in a very kind way. Thankyou so much.
