I saw the Doctor today. She was amazing. Very welcoming, knowledgable and understanding. She managed to assess and diagnose my issue in minutes. The communication skills were brilliant and I was made to feel comfortable.

  3. Review titled Not the best experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

Been with the surgery many, many years and was told by doctor to collect a long awaited form late one afternoon just before Christmas. I went to surgery as instructed and very politely asked an individual for the form. Individual said its not ready. I politely explained the doctor had told my wife document was ready. Individual slammed keyboard on the work top (a colleague then looked round), the individual then stood up, leaned towards the plastic screen and in a dalek type voice said "it-has-to-be-processed". (photocopied). I politely said shall I come back tomorrow, and went to leave. The person muttered "wait over there". A few minutes later the individual gave me the form, I paid the £15 fee and politely wished both receptionists Merry Christmas and quickly left. All the receptionists and back room team have usually be incredibly helpful despite the job pressures and we reciprocate with an annual box of chocolates or biscuits. Having found this forum while looking to change surgery I thought it best to share my experience. Sadly I can't leave my details as my wife and will be vulnerable to retribution if we can't change surgery. On the bright side we'll save money on the annual box of chocolates and donate this money to charity.

  4. Review titled Gone even more down hill

Rated 1 star out of 5

To be honest I have finally left this practice and it was well overdue. Awful service, no appointments. Most of the reception staff are dismissive, rude and insensitive to your circumstances. Some of the doctors are unhelpful and have given me poor health advice also. I never realised until I left, how much this practice was giving anxiety to even make an appointment with them. I was there for 10 years.

  6. Review titled Incompetent Staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Dorice Williams - Posted on 06 September 2023

After calling six times to get appointment for myself and my husband. The receptionist decided to offer one appointment and reffered me for a phamicist assessment. Despite telling her that I couldn't travel yesterday as I had difficulty breathing and almost collapsed. She also lied by saying after my assessment the pharmacist would book me in if needed to see a doctor. To which was a lie. I was adviced to call back the surgery after my conversation with the Pharmacist. Again i spoke to the same person to which she said your appointment would be 1hour and 20 minutes after your husband's at 6pm. I politely said this is too long to keep my disabled husband at the surgery when we're both poorly. To her reply, ' There's nothing I can do, this conversation is not going anywhere' to which she hanged up. A simple apology from her would have gone a long way. Instead she was rude and angry.

  8. Review titled Don’t bother!

Rated 1 star out of 5

I don’t know what happened to Hollies but it’s gone ridiculously down hill fast! 45 minutes to finally get though only to be told by the extremely rude receptionist that there isn’t any appointments. You can’t book your smear test in as again you can’t get though or when you do, the appointment has to suit the receptionist rather than the individual. Doctors don’t want to see you and would rather pass every think on to nurse for them to consult the doctor and what the best treatment is! Needs serious improvement!

17.5.2023 = We went to Tamworth House Medical Centre GP clinic, so worried with a possibility of a breast cancer scare and my HB pressure + ongoing hernia issues, we were seen by one of the Doctors who was so calming, reassuring, professional, friendly and indeed well knowledgeable. didn't rush us, gave us extra time and we left quite calm and very appreciative. Thank you Tamworth House Medical Centre for your good service and quick assistance. Thanks to the Doctor who seen us , you are just extraordinary and heavenly!!

  10. Review titled Down hill gp

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Kirstie - Posted on 03 May 2023

Took over an hour to get through in the morning to be told there are no appointments available even though I have tonsillitis with a fever, it took for my chemist to email them that I need to be seen to get antibiotics and even then they were reluctant to give me an appointment and was gonna make me call the next morning. They also never have any appointments available online and the receptionist can be quite rude when trying to get an appointment or they use a new protocol to assess your needs when there isn’t any available appointments which just ends up them suggesting you call 999 for an ambulance for non a&e illnesses like sinusitis.
