  1. Review titled Poor Telephone System

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Vicky Turner - Posted on 24 January 2024

Called at 8:01 for an appointment, telephone service advised to press 1 for a call back and place in the queue saved, called back at 8:54 and told no appointment for my 4 year old daughter and I should stay on the line for an appointment - terrible service making people miss out on appointments through no fault of their own

  2. Review titled Incompetent

Rated 1 star out of 5

I booked in for an appointment which i had to wait 4 weeks for, only to get to the practice the nurse call me in and her ask me what bloods i was there for. I requested and was told i was booked in to see the GP then the nurse straight after. They had forgotten to book me in with the GP and therefore the whole thing was a waste of time. Considering they do training every Thursday you would think they would at least be able to book appointments correctly. They have a banner outside saying they are accepting new patients, i would avoid this place like the plague the incompetence is beyond belief.

  3. Review titled Terrible care

Rated 1 star out of 5

My husband has been sent for a lot of tests recently. We spoke to a doctor on the phone for the results, he was totally unprepared. No explanation of why he was sent for these tests, and no explanation of the results. No explanation of the results of a scan. Phone call from hospital to attend for a procedure. This was a complete surprise as we hadn't been informed of the need for the procedure by our GP. Basically we have no idea of what is going on and nobody wants to tell us. I agree with other reviewers, this was a really good practice, now there is a total lack of care. I sent an email one week ago, this has not even been acknowledged let alone properly replied to.

  4. Review titled Horrendous service!

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was supposedly given a list of regiment injections at certain periods apart! But! This surgery seems to think it can change the regime at will! I've just been for my so called appointment! But! Was notified the time wasn't what they'd written down for me! In fact they'd just changed it without notifying me! The receptionist said that we could change the dates to a different period! So! What has happened to the regimented period of injections? I told them to forget it! And walked out! Disgusted!

  5. Review titled Shocking practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 April 2023

I was sent a txt by the surgery to make an appointment to discuss my lifelong care. So I rang up to make a appointment I was number 2 in the queue then went to number 1 after about 2 minutes then I was number 1 in the queue for over half a hour so I stayed on the phone and walked down to the surgery whilst still on hold when I arrived at the surgery there was no one at all in the waiting room and 3 receptionists sat there . I said why are you not answering the phones she replied (very rudely)we are extremely busy so I said I’m on hold to you right now and showed her my phone still on hold I was on hold for just over a hour at this point . I said can I make an appointment please and she had the cheek to tell me ring back at 8 am we have no appointments. So I just walked out laughing to myself what absolute joke this practice is it’s the worst one ever please don’t sign up here . I’m in the process of changing surgery’s now which is a shame because it use to be fantastic I think this surgery really needs looking into my higher up people. As for my appointment I think I will just go one the nhs website and sort myself out. If you want a genuine caring doctors that listen to you please avoid this surgery.

  7. Review titled Appalling receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 March 2023

I witnessed a receptionist today deal with a very vulnerable mental health patient, she was rude, lacked empathy and dismissed him quickly from the surgery, complaining loudly in the process about her workload. I am appalled by her unprofessional and intimidating manner and working within the NHS myself I find it concerning that she is able to conduct herself in such a way.

  8. Review titled Very poor "care"

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Kelly Pilkington - Posted on 23 December 2022

My 17 week old daughter started with a cough/cold. After a couple of days she started wheezing and showing recession when breathing in. I rang the GP on one phone and 111 on another as I know from experience that the receptionist will just direct you to 111 any way. 5th in the queue for over 10 minutes at 1715 and 111 answered first. After the assessment they recommended an ambulance. The ambulance service rang me straight after and obviously explained how stretched they are. They then proceeded to do a live link video call to review her. As our GP practice was still open, they advised that they wanted her checking and they would ring the GP and send over the notes. They rang back 15 minutes later, very apologetic as they were on hold to get through to the GP. They advised the GP would phone me but said I should head over to them as it was nearly 1800 and they close at 1830. We got in the car and the GP rang. He went through exactly the same assessment stating that he had no notes. I questioned what the point was as she just needed someone to check her breathing and he could hear her crying, coughing and wheezing in the background. He then clearly stated that he couldn't see her until tomorrow even though he was ringing from the practice and I was outside! I asked what I should do if she gets worse and his statement was, "Well if you are worried you should go to A&E or the walk in." 5 hours in A&E and my daughter has bronchiolitis and will be visited by the community nursing team. I am disgusted by the lack of care from the GP and will be making a formal complaint. The hospital staff were under so much pressure and it is clearly not helped by GPs like this refusing to see patients, especially 17 week old babies.

  9. Review titled Waiting time for appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 December 2022

There are currently no telephone or routine appointments until the end of January. Despite being asked to make an appointment. As normal advised to contact 111 or go to the walk in or accident and emergency . Todays receptionist was lovely and obviously cannot give you an appointment due to systems restrictions and employer guidance. I am an extremely clinically vulnerable patient with probable pneumonia but told to attend elsewhere? What does it take to get to speak or see a Doctor? If I go to the walk in or accident and emergency, I could pick up something more than I go in with. At least the young lady receptionist today was lovely and should teach the other receptionists whose condescending, aggressive attitudes would do well to take note of.

  10. Review titled Lost Details

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 November 2022

I rang the surgery to ask about my repeat prescription not being sent electronically to the pharmacy like it usually is and was told that it had been printed off at the surgery and would need to be picked up. However, the lady I spoke to couldn’t find my prescription and I could hear other members of staff helping her find it. I will say the lady I spoke to was really helpful and understanding and went and spoke to the GP to either get it printed off or sent to the pharmacy urgently. I really do appreciate her help. But I’m now really worried that the paper prescription, with all my personal and confidential details on, is now missing somewhere in the surgery.
