    Last week I received a text asking if I was still a carer and if I needed any support. I replied to say I was and that I did need support. On Tuesday I was then contacted by a lovely lady who asked me how I was, spoke to me about being a carer, informed me of different services in the area and just took the time to talk to me. I have really been struggling with caring for my parents recently so this could not of come at a better time for me. She has since referred me onto another service and I have already been contacted. I’ve also received carers information leaflets in the post which I’m guessing are from the same lady. I wish I had caught this lady’s name but I hope this feedback gets back to her. She was outstanding in every single way. Her telephone manner how she listened to me and offered support. I must admit I have previously been very negative about the surgery but this whole experience has changed my mindset, to have staff like that working at the surgery is a testament.

    I recently attended both Sherburn and Belmont surgeries within a week, once for bloods in prep for hospital and the next for a blood pressure test. From entering the surgery to being treated, I was met with 100% friendiness and respect from reception staff and the nurses. I admit, I have waited long times for GP phone calls in the past, but I've always received them, but I would recommend this practice to anyone living in the catchment areas.

    I have used this surgery for a number of years now. It has improved so much. The staff are so helpful and good at their jobs. I have positive experiences with everyone from doctors, nurse practitioners, dispensary staff (who stayed open a couple of mins for me), receptionists. Thanks very much

    I have been on hold for over 2 and half hours from being 7th in the queue. Is it any wonder more and more people are having to ring 111 even when gp surgery's are open. Absolutely disgusting

    Dear patient, Thank you for taking your time to comment on your recent experience when calling the practice. The surgery was closed on Monday 2nd January 2023 for the bank holiday. I appreciate you raising this issue, I have since contacted the telecoms provider to inform them that there was no message on informing you that we were closed, I have asked that all future bank holiday closures are transferred to the appropriate signposting message for patients. Please accept our apologies for this experience.

    I requested an online prescription and was advised that I needed a medication review before this could be dispensed. I requested a telephone consultation as I work full time and was advised I would be called at 8:30am the following morning. By lunchtime I had not had a call and rang the surgery to rearrange my appointment and was told that I couldn't have a time slot for telephone appointments and the next face to face appointment was in 10 days time. The receptionist booked me back in for telephone review the next day requesting an early appointment due to work commitments. I received a call after 12pm the next day at a time when I said I was unavailable and subsequently missed the appointment. After 20 minutes in the queue to rebook the appointment, I still don't have an appointment or any medication. Disgusting service.

    I walked into the surgery and was met by smiling faces , had an appointment within 2 days . The Dr I saw was incredibly thorough in his examination and questions . I have had tests , and follow up appointments all with same warm approach . The infection I had is now sorted . I was treated with courtesy , kindness and professionalism . Thank you to all the staff !

    Got sent a letter advising to get in touch but not why. Phoned and finally got through after a long wait to be told they had no record of the letter being sent. Went into the surgery, same answer. Advised to bring letter in. Did that too and still no idea. I asked if it was about recent test results and was told no. Eventually they said "if it was important I'm sure we would've called you". Highly doubt that but left it and checked my test results on the NHS app where I found an abnormal result on a key test that needed urgent action as it was a potential cancer marker. Thankfully the action requested had already been taken thanks to the Nurse Practitioner booking it at the same time as the tests due to waiting times and to "cover all bases". Good job they did really. Fuming.

    Thursdays the surgery is supposed to be open from 8:15am to 5pm. Try calling them at any time on a Thursday and you'll get "The surgery is now closed". Why? If you're not open on Thursdays then either change your opening times, or tell us why on the answering machine.

    Waiting in all day as doctor supposed to be phoning rang at 5pm to be told I would be contacted before 6pm. I have mental issues and waiting for blood test results this is terrible service.

    I wanted to share my ongoing experiences at the Belmont surgery. In recent weeks I have unfortunately had to have a lot of input from my surgery due to a procedure I had in hospital. I need regular dressings from the nurses at the Belmont surgery. Both of the nurses who work there are fantastic!! I wanted to give positive feedback where it’s due, because I feel they are both a credit to the surgery and with the bad press the NHS is getting at present I felt it should be known that I have had second to none care. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they have even sorted prescriptions for me! They are always chatty, friendly and make me feel very welcome at my appointments which is nice for a patient especially when I feel like a burden to the NHS appointment system. Keep up the great work ladiess and thank you bothg .
