   Having severe anxiety, the nurse practitioner had me crying after the callback for my child. She called me and I tried to explain my child's issue, she instantly said to take him to a&e! She didn't let me finish and said if I brought him to the surgery she would sent him to a&e! Let me just say that although my child was experiencing some abdominal pain for the past 24hrs, he was currently awake, gaming. She spoke to me awfully, asif I was stupid. Telling me asif it was the obvious answer! I left the phone all feeling more anxious, deflated and upset. She had no compassion, no useful advice and I'm still square 1. If I thought for a moment that my child 'needed' a&e, we would be there in a heartbeat. It would be highly appreciated for your staff to show a little compassion especially to those like myself who are extremely vulnerable to anxiety issues. Phone calls are a big step for those suffering, we don't need judgement from health professionals.
