    I put in a request on the 27th March to be tested for a genetic condition that I know my father is a carrier of and my half sister suffers with. I am currently pregnant so want to know if I am also a carrier of this condition as my baby may be born with this. On the 5th April I received a text message informing me that a telephone appointment had been booked for the morning of the 12th April to discuss this. On the 12th April I also called the practice for a telephone appointment regarding a completely separate issue. When I received a phone call on the morning I was asked what the issue was so assumed that this was the call for the appointment that I made that morning. Late in the afternoon I realised that I had not had the telephone call to discuss being tested for a condition. I rang the practice and was told that the doctor "got their wires crossed" and that apparently that call was supposed to be for discussing the testing. Either way, I should have had 2 telephone consultations on the 12th April and did not. I was told instead to use time from my face to face appointment the following week to discuss testing for this condition. I am sure that there won't be time to discuss two separate issues come my appointment next week. I have waited two and a half weeks for a telephone call to "discuss" being tested only for it to not happen because I dared to be ill on the day and require an appointment. Incredibly frustrating experience.

    It is really difficult to reach them and when I finally did the lady on the phone was trying to convince me that we don't need appointment, and we should get something from the pharmacy ,because now they dealing with emergency cases . Meanwhile pharmacy's staff highly recommending us to visit the GP. How this lady on the reception can decide who can get appointment and who can treat him self with something from the pharmacy??? I'm not agree to pay that high taxes and recive such a poor service with no examination while I feel I need one. It's frustrating and really annoying to wait about an hour before you can speak with someone and when you finally get to speak with their staff ,most of them are rude and mean. From the other side how effective is phone appointment, I personally don't think that this is professional or helpful?? We really considering the option to register with private clinic just because we know that there we will recive fair and professional help wehen we need. Beechfield demonstrates lack of accountability and unacceptable behaviour.

    I had hip pain and phoned in. Had a call back from physio but it had to be passed to senior physio. Told I need an X-ray but the form was not available for 8 days. A few days later I had a call saying do exercises sent by email and call in one month if no improvement. My pain got worse and spread to my back so attempted to call. 09.15 and all appointments gone for today. We are now over 5 weeks from my original contact and I am no better. I can stand a little pain but I worry this is more than a strain and time waiting is not good. Went into collect medication and the waiting room is empty What’s happening ?

    Late Wednesday afternoon appointment, referred straight away for further tests. Had appointment at hospital within 3 working days. All the staff are professional, but you can have a laugh with them. The nurses are more than reassuring, giving out advice and encouraging if you still feel you need to ask any questions.

    After returning from Spain, where we had an excellent Health Service, also hearing horror stories of the NHS, we have been pleasantly surprised with the service we have received. We didn’t like the telephone appointments, but can now see how they can save time for doctors to deal with urgent cases. Have received nothing but pleasant and courteous behaviour, from the Beechfield practice, both on the telephone and at the surgery, we would highly recommend it.

    Went above and beyond, explained fully what was wrong. Examined me fully and took the time to answer any of my questions. Very professional and friendly. All doctors should take note. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you!

    My partner last year contracted MRSA and spent a month in hospital. On this Tuesday he had a biopsy to check whether there is any MRSA left in his knee so he may have the knee replacement he really needs. On Thursday as instructed to remove outer dressing to view the wound sites. The wounds were swollen one much more than the other and was infected. Contacting GP surgery to ask for antibiotics in the short term to head off anything further and was told no more appointments were available that day. Receptionist didn't check it might be important for the patient even though informed of the previous MRSA. I called back for my partner and was told an appointment had appeared which was booked and posted photos to the link. requested. However if I had not pursued this he could well have contracted MRSA again. Surely receptionists should check on these occasions that it's ok to wait for another day rather than a brush off to 111 or AandE to allow patients to get the help they need. I am so angry that the receptionist can be instrumental in the potential of life changing illness

    Examined Chance fully, made him feel at ease and helped to clean his back due to the residue of the plaster which was there. Examined him and explained everything he was checking for. Was very patient with Chance throughout. Very friendly.

    Need a urgent appointment stroke survivor. Dizzy could fall. 45 in call then no app. 111 app 14 in queue. Next day gp 32 in queue. Gp call back pm. Call again after 14.00pm. Told really busy. Need to come to surgery as Practice Manager doesn't take calls. Have to physically come to surgery to fill in form to complain. Told Gp could ring up to 6.30 pm to discuss my symptoms. Very emotional as bereathed. No empathy from reception. Just Told over and over again everyone in same boat Busy. Then got phone call from lovely sympathetic Gp . Seen immediately. This surgery has a new second surgery . Old surgery empty when I arrived. I know primary care is busy but this surgery is lacking in providing appointments. Unapproachable and dismissive over the phone. The clinical staff are wonderful when you can eventually see them. I can't fault the eventual care i recieved. But today I was frightened my Stoke was extending. Something needs to be done so patients can be seen in a timely manner. I apologised to reception to the reception staff when physically at the surgery. But I was able to do that rather than go to A/E which was my next destination
