    I had a flu vaccination yesterday. The service was very efficient with no waiting time - basically a moving queue of people had the jab administered one at a time by a nurse while an admin colleague ticked off names on a computer. The downside was (1) there was absolutely no privacy so any questions asked of the nurse were heard by everyone in the queue and (2) no information was given on the vaccine administered, possible side effects etc (surely it would have been possible to give an A4 sheet to each person with information on the vaccine and what to do if any adverse side effects were experienced?).

    I was concerned about pain on my head. Phoned the hot line. Explained myself and i was told that a doctor will ring me. A doctor rang me within 2 hours and gave me an appointment.

    It took me 50 mins to get through on the phone after missing a call saying I needed a face to face appointment but I couldn’t hear the rest of the message. When I finally got through I was told the person couldn’t help and that someone would call me back. Then when I went to the appointment I was nearly 40 mins late being seen. The doctor was really nice when I finally saw her, but I was so stressed about making it back in time for a work call that I was distracted during the consultation. I’ve also asked for my home address to be updated but it still hasn’t been, but I haven’t got the time to sit on hold to call the surgery to chase it up.

    Went for yearly jab, greeted well. The staff were lovely and the nurse did my jab.Then lady recording details said I was due a pneumonia jab. I was worried to have it done, but after hearing the nurse's personal experience I agreed.

    I had a cervical screening smear test in September I had one 6 months ago or 1 year ago abdominal ultrasound examination or something like that at the women’s hospital and they said something about ovarian cyst/ uterine fibroids. They were checking me at the women's hospital and I needed to make that appointment. The doctor said they couldn't see an appointment and that my last test was in 2021. I needed to make the booking at the women hospital not at Barton Health Centre I told the doctor that I have bleeding between periods, painful menstruation, pain during and bleeding after sex, blood clots during menstruation and I need a diagnosis to start to do something with that. They said that is normal for every woman. I think they were incompetent and just wanted to finish quickly with me. They said I don’t have ovarian cyst - how would they know that? They said that if I did have one they would have made another appointment for me. So they want me to make a new booking when I don’t have a period but when I had periods it was cancelled. I don't feel this was good. I believe I need a new appointment at the women's hospital for abdominal ultrasonography or something like last time.

    I wanted to check what I should do to stop my knee hurting at night: it wakes me up almost every night. And the doctor looked at it, checked it in the bed, and told me what medication to take.

    I'm frustrated as my GP was scheduled to call me. However I received 2 texts messages from my GP saying they tried calling me and couldn't reach me. I did not receive any missed calls from the GP. I didn't get any notification from Vodafone either that I'd had a missed call. I asked my colleagues to do a test missed call and my phone rang. My phone was beside me all the time. Now I'm on the phone call to my GP and 21 in the queue and its showing 47 minutes waiting time still not answered! I am very dismayed by this poor service. I feel like the GP didn't call me at all! I have not been very happy with this Practice as they keep changing GPs.

    My daughter wants to be a doctor when she grows up, so she was very pleased when the GP explained how the instruments worked and told her that being a GP was a wonderful career.

    Very easy to use the online form once you get used to it (first couple of times a bit tricky and wondered how older people may cope with it). After that very surprised to get contact for phone /in person appointment so quickly. Very impressed and seems to be a much better system than before.
