This practice used to excellent. Having been a patient for 40+ years in the care of at least 3 different dentists I have never had a bad experience.......until now. The surgery is under new management this year and since the takeover the service has been appalling. I have now had 3 booked appointments cancelled with almost no notice, meaning I've taken time off work for nothing - the dentist apparently doesn't bother turning up half of the time! Having complained to the receptionist I've been told that they have been instructed by the owner to book appointments which they know they have no capacity to fulfil. This is not only unprofessional but also unethical. I shall certainly be making the British Dental Association aware of the disgraceful behaviour of this new dentist.

The dentist at this practice is the most adept I have ever been to. I will not allow anyone else near my mouth. What is difficult for other dentists is easy for him. I trust him wholly. Best dentist I've ever been to. I have to have extractions and other tricky procedures and I am deeply terrified of the dentist. He makes me feel at ease because he is so highly skilled. Cannot fault.

After over forty years of excellent care from the previous two dentists, my recent experience when my mother broke a front tooth falls far short of expectation. This is what we deem unacceptable: Firstly, two morning appointments were cancelled by the practice – The reason the receptionist gave, was the dentist had not arrived at the surgery and couldn’t be contacted. Secondly, on the third appointment, my elderly mother had to wait outside for over an hour in 36.5°C heat- (Monday 18th July 2022 – hottest day on record!) - The reason given was because the ground floor room had been double booked with a patient the dentist hadn’t told the receptionist about. When my mother was seen, the appointment was very rushed and chaotic! Thirdly, as the dentist had not arrived for the afternoon ‘follow up’ appointment to have the dentures fitted, the dentist instructed (via phone) the receptionist to fit the dentures. When I said this was unacceptable as some dental work needed doing, the receptionist said the dentist was on the motorway and we could wait. Finally, when I politely tried to raise my concerns, the dentist became very unpleasant and defensive!

The Practice is an absolute abomination due to canceled appointments, rushed appointments. faulty work. etc. etc. I feel sorry for the receptionists and dental assistants, because they are having to deal with so many dissatisfied patients. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The principle dentist needs to get another job in my opinion 0 out of 10
