Dentist is currently taking new adult NHS patients and because I said I wasn’t on benefits I had to go on a waiting list I am disgusted that I am only allowed private dental just because I work, I cannot afford private prices even with the monthly payment costs which give 5% discount on treatment! Why am I now left with dental problems because I won’t pay extortionate prices!!!! This is not acceptable in the slightest

It seems like they are trying to offload NHS patients without communicating so I would recommend other patients call and confirm their status. I had registered with the practice after moving to Hatfield in 2013. I had contacted them in January 2022 and accepted the earliest NHS appointment in March. Due to difficulties getting time off from work, I had to cancel this appointment. Attempts to rebook were ultimately not possible between my work hours and the practice’s lack of evening or Saturday appointments (Saturdays advertised in 2022 but I was told it was for children only). At no point when cancelling this, was I informed that I would be removed as an NHS patient so I was surprised to find this out when trying to book a check-up today. I do wonder if I had not cancelled and then not attended in March 2022 whether I would still remain an NHS patient even if I wasted the appointment. I did ultimately get urgent private input at Distinctly Dental (they have evening appointments once a week) in 2022 and had a biopsy, followed by follow-up appointments. Currently Iconic Smiles is not open to new NHS patients – it is open to private patients although the opening hours have not changed so I will return to Distinctly Dental for more ease of booking.

The Dentist that performed my check up today I must say in all the years I have attended this surgery it’s was a pleasure to be seen by someone who is very professional and had the time for his patient. Very happy

Review titled Root Canal Treatment/Crown Fitting

Had heard that Root Canal Treatment could be uncomfortable or very painful but in my experience, the procedure was completely pain free and was not uncomfortable at all. The worst part was the injection. My treatment was very thorough and the Dentist took great care to ensure that the preparatory work on the remaining tooth was just right to ensure perfect fitting of the crown.

I was seen very quickly, the dentist who dealt with me made me feel very much at easy an let me know everything what she was doing. I was made to feel comfortable and at ease, very happy with service.

Standard 6 monthly check up. £26 to check and prod teeth and gums. No cleaning no xray and completed in 5 minutes. Prodded an old filling from 30 years ago to say it may be compromised. Well it is now. Rescheduled in 6 months. All staff very professional

I was greeted by a lovely lady who talked about the best way to care for my teeth. She did a deep clean which left me with a very bright and confident smile. I don’t know her name, but would recommend anyone to use her.

The appointment was so rushed. She was talking so fast I could. It hear what she was saying . She listened to nothing I said. I got there early and the dentist couldn’t be bothered to listen or explain properly. It was a complete waste of my time
