  1. Review titled Needs Communication Work

After attending a week ago, where I did receive good treatment, I returned today to ask for a fit to work note. The NHS website states "You can get a fit note from a doctor, nurse, occupational therapist, pharmacist or physiotherapist" so I thought I will ask the pharmacist rather that take up a much needed nurses appointment. The pharamacist point blank refused and would not even let me explain where I got the information from that they are able to give one! They just kept repeating no, so now I have to make an appointment with the overstretched nursing staff just to say I am fit to work. Very disappointing and frustrating.

I can’t thank the two nurses who treated me this afternoon enough. They were kind and very professional and carried out my treatment which was quite tricky quickly and effectively, saving me a trip to the hospital. Also I was seen a lot quicker than expected.

I'm visiting family and my 1yr old have fever for few days. Walk-in centre was my only option. I thought we would wait for a long time to get seen. Surprisingly my child got seen very soon by the nurse and the doctor. They checked him through and the doctor even made him the medicine on site. Many thanks for them. My child is feeling much better. The staffs are all deserve 5*.

  5. Review titled Excellent Service

I took my son here as my GP practice had told me they had no appointments for the day. We waited around an hour which I think is very reasonable. My son was treated with diligent care and was prescribed antibiotics for his infection. He's better and back at nursery now - thank you to the staff who treated Harry :-)

On Monday the 27th I took my little boy to have a scold assessed and treated. The two nurses that dealt with my sons injury were amazing, not only were they putting my mind at rest but they were so thorough and so caring towards myself and my son. they followed every policy, not leaving anything unturned and even referred us to the RVI for further care. Thank you so much.

  8. Review titled Disgraceful attitude

Rated 1 star out of 5

Attitude of nurse/doctor was disgraceful. No eye contact. Should not have have attitude like that when dealing with patients. Especially waiting for 2 hours feeling really unwell. Won’t ever go there again.

  9. Review titled Disgusting

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Today I went to the walk-in centre for an clear infection on my tonsils and I was there for 2hours, after the 2hours I got told there wasn’t anything they could give me, after them saying that it’s a viral infection and that it’s clearly bright red and swollen and starting to cover my air ways, my experience was disgusting, they could see I was in obvious pain with this too.

  10. Review titled A Waste of Time - Walk-In Centre

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 October 2022

The Walk-In Centre service used to be excellent as an alternative to A&E or as an out-of-hour GP service, however my recent experience was terrible. Upon arrival I booked in with the receptionist (who was lovely), they asked questions and I was informed there would be a two-hour wait. As my medical problem needed attention, I decided to wait patiently. After 90 minutes, a nurse ushered me into a room. She was very rude, forthright and had a disapproving attitude (even though my health issue was not my fault). I was lectured at and informed the service was for acute care patients and I should book in with my own GP (which I had already tried). I'm reasonably intelligent and educated, but she spoke to me like a naughty child and was very abrupt when I asked if she could just check my observations. The rudeness continued for 10 mins and I left receiving no medical care or help. The nurse didn't introduce herself or wear a name badge (likely due to former complaints about her) which is unprofessional. I cannot recommend this service at all, as it was a complete waste of my time. The receptionist should have informed me if my health problem was unsuitable for their service and referred me elsewhere. According to the NHS website this service is for minor injuries and illnesses (does a bad chest infection not count?) not acute care.
