Royal Preston Hospital in the Fulwood area of Preston has 742 beds.  It provides a wide range of emergency, elective and specialist healthcare services to 370,000 local people and 1.5 million people across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

It houses two purpose built education centres, providing facilities to 200 medical students and 700 staff members.

It also houses the primary care centre for local non-hospital based treatment.
