Overview

The Royal London is a leading, internationally renowned teaching hospital based in east London. It is part of Barts Health NHS Trust.

We offer a full range of local and specialist services, which includes one of the largest children's hospitals in the UK with one of London's busiest paediatric Emergency Departments. Home to London's Air Ambulance, The Royal London is also one of the capital's leading trauma and emergency care centres and hyper-acute stroke centres. We also provide care to patients with orthopaedic, renal, dermatology and sexual health conditions.

Our world-renowned hospitals are home to many international experts and world-class specialist centres, from cancer, cardiac and digestive diseases to trauma and a leading children’s hospital.

We aim to give our patients the best possible care so that they can live better, fuller, longer lives. We strive to provide safe, clinically effective and patient centred care to the highest international standards.

We have one of the best survival rates in the NHS despite the nature and complexity of the cases we treat –  a measure widely regarded as an indicator of clinical excellence overall. Patient safety is paramount at Barts Health and we have an excellent track record to prove it.
