The Cassel provides national specialist assessment and treatment services for adults, young people and families with intractable personality and family problems.
These groups have often exhausted all other avenues of help from mental health, children’s and social care services.
The ESPD Service (emerging & severe personality disorders) and the Families Service both provide unique, flexible care packages with residential, day and outreach services.
They work in partnership with local services to provide care pathways that bring about effective change in psychological functioning, parenting, social and family relationships.
These services are underpinned by a solid research base, and nationally recognised training, consultancy and expert witness services.
The Cassel’s therapeutic model of care is recognised as effective with even the most difficult cases. Previous patterns of inappropriate service use and cycles of abuse and deprivation are broken.
