Castlefields Health Centre's Patient Participation Group

Castlefields Health Centre has set up its own Patient Participation Group (PPG).  Its members consist of 17 patients, 3 local councillors, 1 Community Development Officer and 4 members from the practice team: Dr. Lyon (GP Partner), Kelly Atkins (Practice Manager), Lorna Danson (Senior Receptionist) and Susan Watson (Practice Nurse).  The group meets monthly at the Castlefields Community Centre.

The PPG looks at: Results of Patient Satisfaction Surveys, PROMs (Patient Reported Outcomes Measures), Responsive Practice, Service re-design and service development, “Hard-to-reach” patients, New Building Plans, Access/Appointments, Telephone System, Prescriptions service, Changes in the NHS/Impact on the practice/Runcorn Commissioning.  The PPG is working on a Newsletter and is going to put Feedback Forms in the waiting area, for any comments, suggestions, improvement ideas, questions or concerns from non-members to be put to the PPG and then publicly responded to.
