Fownhope Medical Centre

A New Prescription Delivery Van!

Thanks to the huge amount of support from local people the Fownhope and District Medical Trust has been able to purchase a brand new prescription delivery van. This means patients who are unable to collect medication from the surgery will continue to receive the delivery service.

The Medical Trust was established in 1994 and continues to raise funds to purchase specialist equipment for Fownhope Medical Centre which is not usually available at a GP Surgery.

Sculpture for Fownhope surgery

FOWNHOPE MEDICAL CENTRE : PRESS RELEASE

June 2012 

Fownhope Medical Centre will soon display a work of art by world famous sculptor Walenty Pytel.

 Fownhope Medical Centre invited primary schools within its practice area to submit their pupils’ ideas and inspiration for a sculpture by Walenty Pytel who lives locally. 

The sculpture will take pride of place on the recently extended Fownhope Medical Centre situated in a beautiful orchard location on the edge of Fownhope village. 

Liz Moore – Practice Manager says ‘We wanted to encourage local children to be aware of and take pride in their health community’ 

Hannah Drury from Woolhope is the lucky winner of a £25.00 book token for her entry entitled:

‘Fownhope Medical Centre – Core of the Community’  

Mr Pytel will be focusing on an apple motif and good health as the core of the community. 

Liz Moore ‘We received some excellent entries but felt that Hannah had imaginatively captured local sentiments’ 

Each school that took part will also receive a book token. 

Walenty Pytel works in steel and bronze and takes his inspiration from nature. His distinctive work is displayed across Europe in public spaces and corporate settings.
