Since 1 April 2011 East Cheshire NHS Trust has been an integrated community and acute trust providing healthcare across central and eastern Cheshire and surrounding areas, in hospital, at home and in community settings. With over 4,000 dedicated staff East Cheshire NHS Trust serves a population catchment area of approximately 450,000.

By bringing acute hospital services and community services more closely together our aim is to ensure that patients receive the best care in the right place.

Departments and services

East Cheshire NHS Trust provides a full range of general acute secondary care hospital services and community services through a Clinical Business Unit (CBU) structure. These are Surgical, Outpatients, Medical and Community Business Unit's supported by our Corporate Services.
