The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital is an internationally renowned centre for the treatment of bone and joint disorders and the care of children with orthopaedic problems. We have a long and distinguished history in the development of the orthopaedic specialty, and as a foundation trust, are one of the leading hospitals in the country. The trust is one of the largest orthopaedic units in Europe, providing general orthopaedic services for Birmingham and the West Midlands. We are a specialist centre for the treatment of spinal problems and bone and soft tissue tumours, for which we receive referrals from all over the country and abroad. We have one of the lowest MRSA rates in the country, and consistently perform well against all national healthcare standards.
