Award winning practice

A selection of the Practice Team

North Park Health Centre was awarded a very special accolade "Best Practice team" as voted for by The RoyalCollege of General Practitioner. We won the award along with 3 other practices in Merseyside. The nominations had to include evidence of outstanding achievements in primarycare, innovative projects, staff who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. All of these qualities are present at North Park, all staff are committed to providing patients with the best care possible. Tracy Kirk Respiratory Consultant has been running respiratory clinics at North Park to improve the health of patients who suffer from asthma or COPD. Tracy said "Working at North Park has restored my faith in general practice. No request is too much for the staff, they are always willing to help ""

Automated Arrivals

The practice will be installing an Automated Arrivals screen on Wednesday 3 June 2015.  When you have an appointment at the practice you should make your way to the Arrivals screen and follow the online instructions.  A member of staff will be on hand if you have any problems.  This means that if you are only here for an appointment you will not have to join a queue at reception.  This should leave reception free for genuine queries or picking up prescriptions.  Always arrive yourself for your appointment before you queue for any queries or prescriptions at reception desk

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

North Park will be going live with EPS on 23rd February 2016.  This means that some prescriptions will transfer direct to your chemist electronically without having to pick up your paper copy.  You will have to order your prescription in the same way as you do now either via your chemist or in writing to the practice.

In order for your prescription to be sent electronically once approved by your doctor, you must NOMINATE a pharmacy where you want the prescription to be sent.   This is done at the chemist and not at the surgery.  Simply call in to your favourite pharmacy and ask them for more details.

Chaperone Policy

There are occasions when patients need to be examined by a clinician which may involve intimate examinations. A chaperone provides a safeguard for patients during such an examination or consultation and protects against verbal, physical, sexual or other abuse for both patient and clinician. A clinician has the right to request a chaperone if they feel it necessary.

North Park is committed to putting patients at ease wherever possible. If you wish a chaperone to be present during an examination please do not hesitate to ask a clinician or one of our receptionists.

Trust is important in the relationship between clinician and patient and we would at all times, wish you to feel able to ask for a chaperone. It is the policy of North Park to respect the privacy, dignity, cultural and religious beliefs of our patients
