Can I use last year's sun cream?

Sun cream has a shelf life of two to three years, as long as it's not stored at high temperatures or in direct sunlight. Make sure you keep sun cream in a cool or shaded place at all times.

Before using sun cream, check the bottle for an expiry date. You should never use sun cream after the use-by date, because you won't be protected from the sun's harmful rays.

The British Association of Dermatologists recommend that you use sun cream with an SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 30. You should also ensure that the sun cream you use offers protection against UVA and UVB radiation
