Transcript of NHS Strength and flexibility: posture


Stand tall looking straight ahead, arms by your sides, feet hip width apart

and toes pointing forwards.

Imagine a string attached to your head pulling upwards.

Gently draw your shoulders back and down.

Your legs should be straight, but don't lock your knees.

Your weight should be evenly spread between both legs.

Avoid leaning forwards or backwards.

You should be aware of a small hollow in your lower back,

but don't stick your bottom out.
