  1. Review titled Request for a female doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 March 2024

I called to make an appointment with a female doctor, specifically, as I wanted to discuss personal issues that I felt more comfortable speaking to a female doctor about. The appointment was booked two weeks in advance. The doctor that I saw was male. I felt utterly disappointed and unable to share what the full issue was and get the information I was really hoping for. I felt dismissed and like I was waisting time. I asked the reception why I was seen by a male doctor and not a female like I had booked and was met with a less than bothered response of 'the female doctor called in sick'. No apology. It's frustrating that I wasn't told that my appointment with a female doctor was changed and I feel totally let down. My issue is not resolved.

Can never get an appointment. Tried for over two weeks. Made telephone consultation waited a further 7 days, still not resolved my problem. Not interested and won't help investigate any further. Definitely avoid.

  3. Review titled Terribly inefficient and causing suffering

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by jayne lee wilson - Posted on 09 December 2022

After coming out of hospital I've been trying for two weeks to get prescriptions for the vital new medication I'd been put onto, which was clearly listed in the discharge letter. Despite several promises that this would be urgently dealt with, I still don't have it. So I'm already in pain as a result, it is hard for me to eat without the meds, and don't even know if I'll get it after the weekend! Two weeks is long enough however busy you are. This Practice needs fundamental change and improvement to avoid causing suffering to its patients.

  4. Review titled Dreadful Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

In Dec 2020 I gave this practice a five star review. Now if I could I would give it no stars.Have had multiple problems of late. I was referred with ? cancer and had heard nothing from the hospital about the test results spoke to GP receptionist who said they had heard nothing and I would have to chase it up. Had Covid two weeks ago and felt really ill with a chest infection rang multiple times before the phone was answered it just kept ringing then went dead (this really does happen all the time). I eventually got though only to be told they had no GP that day or the next day and this is also not unusual. Receptionist said she would try and get me an appointment in Litherland the next day heard nothing by 2pm that day so rang and cancelled the appointment I didnt have anyway. The deterioration in the whole practice is dreadful so very sadly I am voting with my feet and moving to a practice that has permanent doctors.

  5. Review titled Very poor practice.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Victor Davies - Posted on 26 August 2022

Two complaints:- 1. The practice failed to renew my repeat prescription on 3 occasions, and despite me attending the surgery each time. I got fed up, so have not had the medicine for 4-5 years now. 2. Impossible to get an appointment. Instead, one is referred to alternative suppliers. The practice is not fit for purpose.

  6. Review titled Not been able to see a doctor in 3 years

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Colin Tinsley - Posted on 06 August 2022

Unable to gain an appointment, either emergency or as a non urgent. When I have been able to get through I'm told to ring in again at a certain time along with everybody else...therefore it's engaged again or go to the walkin centre. The receptionists are just doing their jobs, it's not their fault..Its the underfunded system thats failing it's patients.

Yes again the receptionist was helpful - took time to consult with colleagues - to reassure me. I fin this practise really helpful - our family have been looked after by them for many years.

Last 4 months they have either failed to do my repeat prescription or they have missed half the prescription off the list despite me being a patient Ince 2020 , also since being with them have not been able to get a single face to face appointment despite my many complex and life threatening conditions , am absolutely disgusted with them
