  3. Review titled Bad registration practice

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Stoyan Radev - Posted on 09 January 2023

Dear customers, today 09/01/2023 i have tried to register to Queens Road Medical Center.I am old fashioned and prefer to do everything by my self on place. When arrived on place in the medical center I have ask how to register with them. Them answer was that I can do that online. I tried to explain them that i want to do this there not online, but they was repeating the same things, and literally pushing me to do this online. They even thold me to asc some one to hlep me wit the registration. I have explayn that the proces is not mision inposible for me jus I whant to do it on the old fasion way. I get really disappointed of that I don't have a choice to do what I want on the way I want... They don't let me a right to do it!!! Where is your right to choose? the only way you have is not to be served or to do it in the only way they want!!! I don't like to do appointments online, sometimes is easier but most of the time you don't know how to answer on the questions that the sistem asking, they are not exact, or missing at all, or if I know what hapeen wit my body why I need the GP practis I can register my self straite to the specialist!!! One more time i want to have my choice, if I want to do it there or online, the other way is not correct for me, my rights like a human are broken down!!!

My appointment was book @9, due to traffic I called surgery that i will be few minutes late so when I called I was in the queue on number 3, when I was on number 2 after few minutes call dropped then I called again, again I was on number 3 and when receptionist answered my call she said you are late she wasn’t listening to me, then I said to her You are not listening to me, I just want to advise can you please train the new receptionist how to talk to patients. There is one more point I want to raise can you please please fix your phone lines because my husband called surgery to book an appointment for our daughter, he was in the queue number 4 when someone picked up the phone they couldn’t hear him but we could hear them and when I called for my self same happened so please fix your phone lines.

  5. Review titled not a great practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

The problem with this practice is there is no continuity of care. There seems to be a pattern as the doctor's are always changing and the most experienced doctors always leave the practice including dr Ali and dr eslami. Seems like this surgery needs to try harder to keep these doctors

  6. Review titled Good doctors but doesn't feel safe

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I visited for a flu jab and am concerned that, with Covid cases rising again, not a single member of staff or any other patients were wearing masks. This is the most basic public health measure so it is disappointing the practice are not requiring them.

  7. Review titled Good doctors, terrible receptionists

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have had numerous issues with the people working at the reception. They would either never pick up the phone/answer your emails or tell you to call/drop by the following day at 8 am. But when you do, they always have an excuse and they can never help you. I have had to use so much of my holiday entitlement at work for this, it became an issue for my employer. My consultations with the GPs have been excellent, but it is so hard to get the admin part done, even for small things.

  8. Review titled Appointment service needs improving

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 01 June 2022

Urgent problems are not prioritised and appointments are not given to the patients that need them the most. The receptionists keep saying the afternoon appointments are for emergencies and if you need a follow up they won’t give you an appointment which is ridiculous because the surgery is not taking into consideration working people. Furthermore, now covid is easing, patients should be able to book routine appointments in advance as working people cannot get time off on the same day. Constantly going round in circles because the GP said to book an appointment in two weeks and only works at the practice one day a week. Everytime I call, even at 8.15am, I am told he is fully booked. Just not getting anywhere maybe doctors should be able to book follow up appointments themselves, as my follow up appointment was related to my breathing but this was not taken seriously by the receptionists at all.

Generally get a quick response when asking for an appt, followed up regularly as a diabetic. Staff are polite and understanding. Gps pay attention and advise well.
