After doing an online assessment I was given an appointment with a MSK doctor within 2 days and received treatment at that appointment, from start to finish I cannot fault Practice 3 at all and I am very happy that my on going problem has now been dealt with fast & efficient.

Review titled Cant get a Covid booster in Bridlington anywhere

Firstly, I am over 65 and we are being urged to get our 2023 Covid booster jabs, because the new variant is spreading fast. But currently (27.9.23) it is not possible to book a Covid booster anywhere in Bridlington because i am told ‘supplies have not arrived yet.’ They have arrived everywhere else in surrounding areas however - eg Hull has plenty! The nearest place to get a Covid booster jab if you live in Bridlington , according to the online booking service, is currently Filey Bay. Why should i have to travel to Filey Bay to get it ? My second point is that i had my annual flu jab today at my GP practice in Station Road, Bridlington. It would have been perfectly safe to give me - and everyone else - their Covid jab at the same time. But no, we all now have to traipse back another time, wasting valuable time and resources. Or drive up to Filey bay to get it/ as above. Not everyone has a car to do that. Bus and train services are unreliable. And many people in the 1st tranche (over 65’s) eligible for these jabs are elderly and infirm - i feel very sorry for then because they will have to trail back once again for their Covid jab - why? We are constantly told NHS staff resources are in short supply - so doing both jabs together would have saved a huge amount of staff time. Just to add, my flu jab was done very efficiently and the nurse was i saw was wonderful and the organisation was great. But why put everyone - including staff and volunteers - through all that again for the Covid jab when both could have been done together? Surely it would have saved a lot of money as well ?

My most recent experience with this surgery was one that shouldn't put anyone off seeing their GP, please let me make that absolutely clear. Since this surgery merged with other surgeries there are strange gps who do not know you or anything about you or your history. Like many others my own experience was by telephone and with a gp who knew little about me or my history and felt that they had to impose opinionated views and practice upon myself with consequences which were truly and deeply alarming and disturbing affecting me deeply emotionally and physically at a time when I truly needed compassion and kindness. Perhaps they were having a really bad day but they felt the need, which I feel was driven by ego and possibly a distorted view and because they could, to change my treatment radically. This surgery used to be one of the most excellent around and hopefully things can only get better for all of us. It is so disappointing that I feel it has to be made clear to anyone reading this that they should really try to stick to the GP that they know and know well with kindness and trust. I sincerely hope that this is not the shape of things to come...

I wasn't aware that when you book a appointment it is for a certain time, I asked for my blood pressure to be taken only to be told that the next patient was waiting. I have waited more than 20 minutes over my appointment time and never complained, so an extra 2 minutes to do my blood pressure isn't unreasonable. I just felt that my appointment was rushed and we should never feel like that when we go see our GP

Since the merger of my surgery with several others strange GP's are now available for consultation other than the one you may have been consulting from many years and trust implicitly. This is my personal experience and hopefully one that cannot and will not be repeated. I have a long-standing in the switch has been treated for many years by my trusted gp and then one who you have never felt the need to console comes along and countermands nearly all of your trusted gps opinions views and treatment! Quite obviously this has caused me considerable distress and worry which would have been so easily avoided had a been giving the choice to see my regular and trusted GP. The practice used to be one or outstanding excellence and now it is just one of pot look and I have been on the unfortunate end of this. I found so little tact, care or compassion on the other end of the telephone I was left in deep distressed by this and cannot any longer most unfortunately and disappointingly recommend telephone consultations with strange doctors who do not know you or your history which is a tragedy as the surgery was once one of pure excellence and kindness. I am deeply sorry at having to give this review but I find myself in an impossible situation and truly need a second opinion but I fear I may be put through the strange doctor all over again and this is something this surgery needs to address urgently. This situation is one that patients with longstanding illness may find deeply distressing as I do and hopefully the GP's can prevent from happening as this surgery used to be one of absolute excellence where compassion and kindness could be found.

Had 2 visits to the practice. One for my very nervous 6 yo and one for myself. I could not be happier about the service we received. It is the first time in recent years that I have not felt I was inconveniencing the nhs by using their services. Short wait- less than 15 mins from appointment time. Immediately put at ease by friendly staff. Even receptionists are friendly, professional, and helpful. This practice reminded me of what it used to be like to visit the gp in years gone by.

I have been seriously ill and this was spotted by my GP who at once sent me to hospital, had he not done so I wouldn't be here to tell the story. It can be a complicated and frightening thing when very serious illness is suspected and yet you have to wait and wait for test results. Today I spoke to the most helpful and understanding person I could have have possibly wished for who told me exactly what the results of my tests were showing even though the news wasn't very good that kindness shown to me was simply outstanding, wonderful only something I shall never forget. I cannot praise this practice enough and whoever I spoke to, thank you from my heart.

I have had reason to ring twice this year, since being transferred from practice one. First time I was 2nd in phone queue, and I had a doctors tel appointment within 5 hours. 2nd call I was 7th in tel queue and saw a doctor within 2 hours. Thank you. Since then I have several secondary appointments and 2 followup calls to check on my progress. I am very impressed with the service and all the staff, including the reception staff.
